Welcome to my first roulette! I really look forward to discovering new music and broadening my tastes. I hope you guys have fun too!
I am looking for 10 participants, first come first served. I’ve reserved spots for Sacul, Train of Naught and Parama, since I participated in their roulette. If any of you want to join let me know, if not the spots are open for other participants. I’ll try to do at least one round a week, listening to songs during the week and doing write-ups in the weekend. Songs will be rated out of 10 points. Sending links by Spotify is preferred, but YouTube or files or whatever is fine too. You can send live versions of songs.
List of Participants:1 Sacul
2 Train of Naught
3 Parama
4 Evermind
5 Elite
6 Twosuitsluke
7 Luoto
8 Tyrias
9 Scorpion
10 Tomislav95
StructureFirst seven rounds are normal rounds with bonus system (see somewhere below) max length 8 minutes (won't take it too strict, a little longer is fine)
----top 6 players remain---
Eight Round you can (but don’t have to) send me a longer song, up to 20 minutes, I will also accept multiple songs from the same artist if they flow into each other as long as the total length is no more than 20 minutes
Will be scored out of
20 points
----top 3 players remain---
EP round: Minimum length 25 minutes, maximum length 35 minutes. You have to put in songs from at least three different artists and can put in max two songs per artist. The score will be the average of the songs (which are each scored out of 10 points) times three, plus the flow (which will be scored out of 5). The maximum amount of points you can get in this round is thus 35.
Bonus Point System (Totally not stolen from Train of Naught)
You can pick one of the themes below for a submission for anyone of the rounds (max one theme per round obviously) for one bonus point. You can get a maximum of three bonus points during the roulette. You do not have to use the bonus points though! For each of the themes I listed a few songs that I really like which fit the theme.

PianoI just love the piano and am always looking forward to discovering more songs with a prominent part played by this beautiful instrument.

D0es 1t Dj0nt?Title speaks for itself I think, songs with just some Djenty moments count and are probably a safer bet.

Rap/Hip-HopThis is a genre I thought I’d never like but “To Pimp a Butterfly” by Kendrick Lamar proved me completely wrong. I do find it hard to write down why I like this album so much better than other rap songs I’ve heard. Sending for this bonus point is just pretty much a gamble I guess.
Kendrick Lamar – Alright

Short SongsI really love quirky short songs! Anything under
2:25 2:55 counts. This again is probably slightly risky since if I don’t like a part of the song there isn’t much that can make up for it.
Syd Barrett – The Effervescing Elephant

Samples/Spoken WordAnything with samples of speeches/film quotes or similar or with spoken word singing can go for this theme.
