Marko Hietala - Pyre of the Black Heart

So far I dig this, although I still have the back half to get through. (EDIT: this is an all right album although there are too many slow songs imo; front half has the strongest material)

Also, "Makkuro" by Tricot just before Marko - but the cover is entirely black (since the title means 'pitch black' it makes sense)

Kind of more melodic than the other volume, a little warmer maybe? Still very cool, smooth, weird beats to relax and study to.

Flying Colors: Third Degree

This album, while I've enjoyed it since its release, has definitely grown on me further, to the point I'm now willing to declare it my favourite of FC's three albums. I've grown to really enjoy some of the tracks I initially wasn't sure about, such as Cadence, Last Train Home and Crawl. In my opinion, there is not a dud on this album at all. Wonderful melodic prog-pop-rock.
