Steven Wilson Survivor - Results/Discussion

The 2013 Steven Wilson Survivor will be getting underway on May 1st. There will be six album tournaments, one for Insurgentes, one for each disc of Grace for Drowning, one for Raven (AOS), then one tournament covering the songs featured on the deluxe-edition bonus discs from each album, and another covering non-album songs such as Cut Ribbon and the Cover Version series. See the post below for all competing songs.

For most of the tournaments, the top 2 songs will go through to the Finals, with the 3rd-placed song entering Consolation. Grace for Drowning will have a separate tournament for each disc, with the winner into the Finals and 2nd place into Consolation.

Bonus Songs will not include the demo versions (listed as such) of main-album tracks.

Rounds will last 48 hours, with tiebreakers (24 hours) if necessary.

Thank you very much. This is exactly why I set this thread up early, to clear these issues up, and because I'm not aware of all non-album SW songs. Now, should I create a separate tournament for the Cover Version series (covers and originals), or just clump them into the bonus songs?

I would do them as bonus songs since they aren't on any specific studio album.

OK. So that extends the survivor by quite a bit. I'm going to add a new tournament, covering the Non-Album Songs.

EDIT: Decided not to include the Tape Experiments, apart from Cries of Lucia. They're nowhere near as readily available to listen to as the other songs, so they wouldn't really have a fair chance. I want people to make an informed choice when voting.

Also, because of the variety of songs on offer in the Non-Album Songs tournament, I've decided I'm going to allow 2 songs into Consolation. I'll explain things as we go along. I'm getting confused myself here. This is turning into a bigger beast than I initially thought it would be.

One thing that is certain though is that there is just one week until the Survivor begins!

Two days until we get going, and I just wanted to bump this so everyone can see where we stand now. Almost ready to dive in. I've added, in italics, the way each album tournament will run, and the songs taking part. I'll update them with their rankings once each album tournament has finished.
