Morning. Woke up at 3pm, now to catch up on some of Murica's Sunday night shows.

I hate trying to troubleshoot network bullshit.  I have a computer downstairs running Vista and one upstairs, running 8.1.  It's set up so that if I'm downstairs, I can move stuff to the upstairs computer across the network, just fine.  Upstairs, it WILL NOT find the downstairs computer.  It's listed in the available computers on the network, but it says network path was not found.  I have no clue how to correct the problem except to say f*ck it, and stop bothering.

Did you figure it out yet?

Funny enough, after we talked Saturday night, yesterday I get on the upstairs computer, open Windows Explorer to look for something, check the connection, and it now recognizes the downstairs computer.  I didn't do anything more to it after I made the above post, it just decided to stop being ornery, for some reason.

This might be silly, but did you turn them on in a different order? I recall one time I had trouble making one computer detect another because I turned the other computer on first and it created a different home group on the network, instead of connecting to the home group of the regular computer. When I did it in the reverse order though, no problem.

No, they stay on pretty much all the time.  I haven't restarted either of them since then.

Promised to take my daughter to see her favorite band, Twenty One Pilots, in February.

Waited too long to get tickets.  Now ticketmaster has only single seats available (no pairings of two seats).

Had to get them on Stubhub.  Paid WAY too much.

It all depends on the event.  If it's an event in demand, then of course you aren't getting a deal as people look to profit off a sell out.  But if it's not an in demand event, you cant get good deals or at least face value.  I buy and sell on stubhub and really like it, but you can't expect to find a deal with it, but a reliable ticket at what might be considered market value.

They were the cheapest seats available together.  Just a hell of a lot more than I would have paid initially from ticketmaster.

That's part of the problem with the second hand market.  If it's a popular event that scalpers can make a profit off of, they buy up the tickets immediately and then they are right on stubhub for a ridiculous price.  That's the bad part of the secondary market.  I remember for Iron Maiden at MSG, as soon as the fan club pre-sale started there were tickets for 10 times face value on stub hub.  Pretty annoying for the fan club members like myself who were on time for the purchase but couldn't get the good seats because they were bought by scalpers.

Been listening to Awake this afternoon.  Been a long time and I'd forgotten what a fucking great listen this album is.

I remember right before that came out I was expecting very little from it, especially after Images and Words. I figured their next couple of albums would be mediocre and they would eventually break up. Awake came as close as possible to being as great as Images. What I loved is that it was a totally different sound but they still knocked it out of the park.
