So the guy who killed my Dad has stopped paying restitution... and has filed something with the court to remove the order to pay due to "hardship".

The guy makes over $100k a year. Owns 2 houses. He is ordered to pay a min of $500/mo. Has been making like $200 payments and then just stopped. So they garnished his wages, and he filed to have it removed. We (my stepmother and I) are going to court on Oct 3rd. I'm not sure exactly what it's going to be, but I want to be there to witness it and maybe speak a few words.

Even though I haven't seen a penny of it, and probably won't (even though I am entitled to a portion of it... its not worth the fight w my stepmother), I want to see something done. The guy got off with the most minor sentencing possible: 2 weeks Work Furlough, Probation, and ordered to pay back $280k in restitution. He has made probably less than $5k in payments. It's not about the money. It's about the fact that since the incident, he has just considered it an inconvenience. No remorse shown in the courtroom. Nothing.

Went out with the family for brunch this morning, we all split a big piece of toasted crumbcake and then I had some bacon/egg/chedder sliders on biscuits, all of which was excellent. Now a couple beers in while watching football on the couch.

Just realised my dinner should have been made by Kofi Anan.

My fave thing to make at home is Conchiglie Pasta bolognese with garlic bread .

Keep meaning to make a Cottage pie . Need to get around to it.

But it takes a while to prepare.

I ordered two pepperoni slices, a Sicilian slice with jalapenos, meatball hero, and I felt like buffalo fingers. This place makes these amazing chicken fingers smothered in buffalo sauce. I hope it gets here quickly.

Did you enjoy the first one? I really liked the first movie and it scared the shit out me (I was 11 at the time and thought it was real). I thought they did a great job with this one, the last 20 minutes were simply intense.
