1. Dr. DTVT - Byzantine  / Jeremiad ... That took a set of stones the size of Montana.
2. Indiscipline - Gotthard  / Firedance ... Some tasty guitar licks splashed in during the verses keeps this interesting.
3. Beautiful choruses… Channelling some Queen there with the vocal harmonies.
4. Another ripping opening, only to be somewhat disappointed in the vocals.
5. Kingshmegland - Molybaron  / Reality Show ... Straight up old school rock - wait, this wasn't made in the 80s/90s?
6. Really nice vocal harmonies.  Hard to tell if this is hard rock, or light metal.
7. wolfking - Sentire / End of the World … Face melting intro.  Maybe the rest will grow on me.
8. Puppies - Soundscape  / Resurrection ... If only the drums weren't so anorexic.
9. Stadler - The Naomi Star  / Glad That You Came ... Hard not to know whose submission this was right from the first 30 seconds.
10. TAC - Todd Michael Hall  / Not With A Sword ... Truly middle of the road.  Neither hard, nor soft.  There's some grit in it though.

Given your comments here and in the earlier rounds, I may have finally met my forum match in finding someone else equally picky about vocals.  I kind of like them because of the contrast of them being calmer with the more frenetic music, it's a method not employed nearly as much as I'd like.  Hopefully they'll grow on you.

Nah.... it's just my impressions after listening to the songs a 2nd time each.

@ Mason... I'm fully prepared to be mostly 'meh' about some of those bands, but gonna try to gut it out.  I haven't listened to Nospun yet (hopefully it's along the lines of what Rich sent me in the qualifying round), and I don't think that Northtale or Twilight Force are growl heavy.  Scar Symmetry is a mix of growls and cleans though, right?  Leprous will be a perfect time to go and get a nice sit-down dinner though.  Dark Tranquility ... we'll see.

@ Josh... yeah, I'm not sure that it's so much being picky, but just TASTES^TM!!  More to follow in my writeup I guess.

I'm like Chad where I'm not keen on growls. Those, if it's mixed with good, clean vocals  (Opeth) I like it. It's full on growls throughout a full song that I'm not into.
