Finally Meshuggah has
really clicked with me. I've been giving random albums of theirs a spin since a few years. But this album is just totally great:
And a favorite from almost a year ago. Started discovering this album around the moment I found out my (then) gf had cheated on me with a 'friend' of mine. I was really digging the album, and then when that happened, the songs got even better in a way. I can still recall the feelings I had back then when listening to it. These songs were totally powerful and helped me place my own feelings in a VERY short amount of time (especially New Day and All I Know). It was like the best heartbreak therapy I could ask for. This album has so much depth in everything from emotion, lyrics, melody, arrangement, sonics, you name it. It's absolutely brilliant, and I still love it very much:
And the most recent addition to my most valued albums I ever heard:

Or at the least the ones that I identify with the most at any given moment/feeling. I really don't care about chops or shredding anymore. Thank god.
