I usually skip it once it gets to that point.  I love the song but the ending bothers me because it feels like stretching the song for the sake of stretching it and the scratching annoys me.

Maybe I am in the minority here.  If so....good call on Dream Theaters part to include it......but that section is not for me.

I think one of the main reasons Mangini's drums didn't stand out is because he did so much unison work off of other members' parts. He seems to really enjoy this on his own initiative, so I'm tempering my expectations of how much we'll hear on the new album as well. It might also explain a previous comment about the drums sounding triggered. He may be matching up with Jordan a lot.

Something makes me thing I'm the Marco you mentioned. I feel flattered by that (another Brit praising my English skill? It must mean something!), but I think the other Marco deserves the praise more than I do. His posts, though at times overlooked by many, are always poignant and spotlessy phrased

I'm usually regarded as a South American with a decent level of English xD At least, I speak it fluently and write it decently. I may have an accent on the heavy side of mild though, hehe.

I believe the reasoning behind many foreign speakers eventually becoming more fluent in English than a good majority of native ones is due to the fact that they take great care with their grammar and such while learning the language. Most native English speakers eventually have a tendency to simply take the language and its rules for granted, hence the simplistic structure and frequent misspellings found in such a casual environment as a message board. I find myself slacking off as well on here, even though I take great care when writing and editing my album reviews.
