White Walls
Astral Body
Lay Your Ghosts to Rest
Sun of Nothing
Disease, Injury, Madness
Fossil Genera - A Feed From Cloud Mountain
-------
Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen cover)
Mordecai

At one gig they also played Telos, but not for the last two shows. Like I said, include Telos and something more from the new one (Extremophile Elite perhaps), toss in Ants of the Sky and Selkies somewhere. While I have nothing against Queen for example, it feels kinda dull to have a cover-song when the setlist is already short and they could play something awesome instead.

LOL Bohemian Rhapsody? I can totally see them making that even better.

Also, ending with Mordecai is awesome.

Opening with White Walls? Do they always do that? Seems like an odd choice.

They've only done that on Summer Slaughter and the current tour. They start right at the beginning of White Walls, no Viridian introduction. And by the way, it works VERY well. Just imagine the venue being dark and nothing is going on and then the intro of White Walls just hits.

Yeah White Walls is a really cool opener. Hoping for silent flight parliament on the us tour. Having a Queen cover is sort of lame... But overall not a bad setlist, not incredible though.
I only listen to electro-post dubprog.  You've probably never heard of it.

Obfuscation.
I like that song, but the guitar solo in it is terrible, absolutely terrible

solo's too long to hate it but still like the song.

Like I said, I think the setlist is great, but if it had been slightly longer and one or two songs switched I would be even more happy. Something like this would be kinda optimal (for me) for The Future Sequence-tour, considering they're headlining:

1. Lay Your Ghost to Rest
2. Extremophile Elite
3. Sun of Nothing
4. Telos
5. Ants of the Sky
6. Fossil Genera: A Feed From Cold Mountain
7. Silent Flight Parliament
---Encore---
8. Selkies: The Endless Obsession
9. Mordecai

Bloom would be pretty awesome as well. But yeah, I like the setlist they have, but a song or two more wouldn't hurt IMO. :P

Rumor is that they are playing the entire album on the US tour. Maybe white walls/mordecai as an encore? That would be the best show ever.

I would love to see them play the whole album. It is good enough to be played in it's entirety, so it would be cool.

^ Yes to the last few posts. I MUST see them when they come to the US, but even if they don't play the entire album it will be so wonderfully chaotic (though the cherry on top would be if they did in fact play the album). Lay Your Ghosts To Rest is definitely my favorite song off Future Sequence, although Bloom grew on me greatly, and Melting City, which I thought was a tad boring at first has crawled to my third favorite. Much to my surprise, while I still love Silent Flight Parliment, I don't love it nearly as much as I thought I would have. That said, it still blows my scrotum back and the album entirely kicks ass. This is the first album in a while in which I actually prefer to listen to it as a whole (PT's The Incident absolutely murdered that idea for a while). Lovely, lovely music. I cannot wait to see them again, it's been too long. (Progressive Nation '09, NY)

According to Tommy on that Reddit thing the story goes like this:

Swim To The Moon
Bloom
Specular Reflection
Augment of Rebirth
Lunar Wilderness
Astral Body
LYGTR
EE
Parallax
Black Box
Telos
Melting City
Silent Flight Parliament
Goodbye to Everything.

Indeed, this is a big step up from TGM, which I could hardly stand in regards to lyrics. Luckily with a band like BTBAM, unless you read them, then much of the lyrics are up to 'interpretation' (I know there's a better word for it but I can't find it. I lost it. Fuck). But that's one of the main reasons I buy the tangible albums from BTBAM, I really like to know what Giles is actually saying instead of what I think he's saying. Which for the most part is entirely wrong unless it's sung and not screamed. Even so, he's fairly good at enunciating. But sometimes it can't be helped that it comes out garbled.

After reading/listening a few times today between watching Ohio State and the Reds I still really can't wrap my head around the story lyrics wise. I kind of get what's happening but yeah I don't know haha.

I've rarely come across an album that didn't require a lengthy explanation by the band or similar source to decipher the storyline behind convoluted lyrics. I also think the majority of these lyricists are simply just bad storytellers but have good intentions.

I've come to the conclusion that Melting City is something that happened before the story line like Bloom.

Call me cooky, call me wacky. But I'd love to see the live DVD being the story in order. It would be a 2 hour show but it would be so damn worth it.

Anyone else find that the guitar solos at around 10:30 in Silent Flight Parliament kill the mood of the previous 45 seconds of buildup? I think it might be because they don't really resolve into anything aside from just existing.

Okay holy shit I am pissed off.

I saw that gig at Leeds, but it was listed as Periphery headlining and BTBAM supporting, so I decided to not go.

But everywhere else is saying BTBAM headlined? WTF?

This is two years in a row i've missed BTBAM.

Shit... I'd be livid too. Find out those responsible for listing it that way and then demand that their fingers be glued together (with sheep hair) so they can never type up something so wrong ever again.

That video is so awesome, I am absolutely bursting at the seams to see these guys. I'm loving FS more and more, and with the (hopefully) extra stuff they've been throwing into the mix, it might be the bestest concert evar. My favorite is still the Progressive Nation '09 and that was because of these guys (which actually got me into them). I won't expect Bohemian Rhapsody, but hoping for it. Can't wait!

Also, I've heard some people say that the chants at the end of Silent Flight Parilment (jet propulsion disengage) is kind of cheesy...I thought that too, but last night, listening to it with my headphones on while my friend was watching Prometheus, it was fucking epic. It was kinda like a music video that could never be replicated because of the timing. I won't explain because it was towards the end of the movie so spoilers abound. Anyway, that little part of the song is so awesome. Goosebumps galore. That said, I still think the song itself is a little underwhelming barring that part. But Lay Your Ghosts To Rest and Telos more than make up for it.

It's one of their better songs for sure. Everything on Colors still slays it, of course. The only thing I don't really like about it is the vocals, especially in the first half when he goes higher. His voice has improved dramatically since then.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?
