Something like this;

Blob despises it = wolfking quite enjoys it
Blob thinks it 'meh' = wolfking likes it quite a lot
Blob doesn't mind it = wolfking fucking loves it
Blob likes it = wolfking's mind is blown

So basically I can summarize it as - wolfking is musically easy. :neverusethis:

Which makes you pretty damned hard, if not impossible  :xbones
Magnum used to love them in the 1980's, haven't/won't buy anything from them anymore, their best days are long gone.
But that riff, basic blues/boogie. Bob's voice sounds trally gruff, but perhaps on purpose?

Uh, oh...new Winger...if it turns out as good as Karma (the first two songs alone destroy), we'll have another winner.

I came across this little gem that I had and forgot about for years.  I just uploaded it on my I-Pod.  A one off album from ex Megadeath guitarist Chris Poland.  The band is Damn The Machine.  Here is the full album Youtube link.

Finally someone else who appreciates the awesomeness of those first two tracks. :metal

I'd easily put the first track as one of their top 3 or 5 songs. I don't care much for most of what they've done after the first album.

Ouch. That hurts. Rainbow In The Rose was a milestone for me and 4 or 5 tracks from the awesome Pull album (e.g Blind Revolution Mad, Like A Ritual, Spell I'm Under...) made me go berserk.

Put 100 people who still give a shit about Winger in a room and I reckon 80-85 would name Pull as their favourite Winger album.  So don't mind Blob - he's just ah.............Blob  ;D

New House of Lords - Into Battle

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMH8Woy4AqI&feature=youtu.be

I'm actually surprised how much I like it - I say that because it's just more of the same in terms of sound/structure.  It seems we'll never see a repeat (from almost anyone in the melodic rock space) of the creative songwriting on albums like Demons Down , but for what it is I think it's pretty catchy.

I listened to IV the other day and loved Four Leaf Clover, Your Great Escape and (less so) Short Flight To Mexico but the rest was a bit meh!   Worth having for those tracks though for sure.

I can imagine ....................despite their public image  they really are/were a cut above their peers as musicians.  Even today Kip puts on a great acoustic solo show.    I didn't bother to go and see them when they toured Australia a few years back and I'm pretty pissed at myself that I didn't make the effort.

They came out at a time when people were looking for an alternative to Hair metal.  Winger were a huge cut above all hair bands (even though I like hair bands) but that Grunge explosion killed any momentum they had.

yep - although the scene was starting to get clogged with wannabes just before grunge hit there are so many lost/forgotten gems from old and new bands that came out around 1991-1992 just as the whole thing imploded .  So many of my favourite albums are from those few years.  The songwriting, production, everything is so much better than the vast majority of what gets released now.

I much prefer the Kip Winger solo stuff, far better in every aspect.

I followed up Bangin' with  Stone Fury's  Burn Like A Star.  Great album.  TAC approved!

I posted the Stone Fury in the album thread earlier today - two mentions in a day for an album I've rarely seen mentioned.  Very Zeppy vocals (as usual from Lenny) over melodic rock and good album - better than most of what he did with Kingdom Come.  Can't say I've heard much from The Outfield that did anything for me.

I missed that post.  How weird that I played it yesterday! :metal  I only had the first Kingdom Come album and saw them on the Monsters Of Rock tour (Another TAC approved show).  I really Dug Lenny's voice.

Did you know the guitarist from Stone Fury went on to play with Billy Sherwood of Yes fame in a band called World Trade?  I love the 2 disks I have of them.

I'm a huge fan of Bruce Gowdy - he's been everywhere man , including  stints with The Doobie Bros , Bobby Kimball, Air Supply etc....    I know and own World Trade but in terms of his overall output he's more important to me as a key member of Unruly Child - one of my all time faves.
