Hey people, how about we leave the judging to the person who actually knows the situation instead of assuming the worst based on a boy being asleep.
No judging, just speculation. From one parent to another, perhaps some friendly advice to at least be on the look out for certain things. She already explained throughout the buildup of the story how anxious she felt, and caused us all to feel her nervous tension, and if you have kids, you'll appreciate the worry and concern leads to questioning the situation. Besides the level of detail almost lends itself to a response. It's not like she simply posted "My kid was supposed to be home at 7, and came home at 9:30 cause he fell asleep at a friends house". There was more detail provided that lent itself "as a parent" to speculate on the cause. Also, as for my post, read it again. I said "Of course, not knowing him or the situation personally, many of us would theorize this as a possibility". It's not like anyone posted "HEY JEN ALL YOUZ KIDZ SNORT PEANUT BUTTER!" It was more an FYI from one parent to another. I don't know Jens kids, although I know of them. But she also knows me enough that I don't judge anyway, and she's the one who counts. So
baby!
