Title: "Home" Question
Post by: Metropolis Pt3 on June 26, 2010, 10:48:25 PM
Hi guys, does anyone know the exact words in the background of the song "HOME" (Metropolis) in the intro and around the 8th minute? The instrumental part where there's a woman who's having sex.
Tnx a lot :)

The middle part is also filled with gambling sounds, and I'm assuming some Vegas/gambling mumbo jumbo.  If they were meant to be really significant, I don't think they would be buried in there like they are.  So yeah, I don't know, and welcome to the forum!

I always thought it was something along the lines of "we want more/I want more/need more".

Here it is acted out:

That's all I got, and welcome to the forum!

Little known fact, for a week or so during recording, they secretly mic'd JMs bedroom. What you're hearing is a compilation of what they recorded.

Decent guess but did you not know that JM has perfected silent emission plus he silences his mates with his epic ninja choke and apparently they like it since at the end at least they're finally free.

Seriously, it's just the contrast between the two brothers (Julian - The Sleeper - is gambling, and in the meantime...), I don't think the words have any significance, it's just connected to the gambling.

The sounds in the middle signify while Julian is out gambling getting drunk, the words are the dealer. Edward is banging victoria which you should get if you know what Home is about

I too have always wondered exactly what that voice is something. I also thought it was something along the lines of "more, more more..."

"...four, four, who wants the hard
four?... who wants the hard four?...
     ...shooter had one, four...
...one, four... one and make it the
hard way... ...got the shooter... ...coming out for a new player...
take your best shot, gambler... ...who wants to come?
better hop in... place your bets... who wants to come?"

It's a craps stickman calling out bets.

The intro's just a Jordan patch, I think.

GET INTO MY CAR was actually supposed to come before that section, but James went out for a hole-digging a little too early and missed it. So they put it in that song about the king of Rome.
