Official Yes Top 50 Countdown Thread! - #23-21 Revealed!

Alrighty...time for a top songs countdown for Yes.  We will do a top 50.  This will follow the same basic format as all of the prior countdowns.

I will count down the top 50 songs in order, and they will be taken from lists of anyone who wants to send me theirs via PM.  Do not post them on the forum here.  Send them to me via PM.  I will take all of the lists and come up with a top 50 based off all lists cumulatively and count the songs down from 50 to 1.

The rules:
-Songs must be listed from 50 to 1 in order (either 1-50 or 50-1 - doesn't matter), with no ties.  No having three songs at number 1 or anything like that.  DO NOT list your songs with the points total.  List them in your order (I will figure out the points on my end).  Any list submitted with the songs not numbered will be ignored.

-Anyone wanting to submit a list must do so by the end of day, Saturday, May 4th (new, later deadline).  I will then begin the countdown the following week.  This should give anyone and everyone time to listen to the band’s songs.

-The list will be tallied numerically in a simple way.  On each list, whatever song is at number 1 gets 50 points, number 2 gets 49 points, number 3 gets 48 points, etc.

-PLEASE PROOFREAD YOUR LISTS BEFORE SENDING THEM.  Any list with the same song mentioned twice or which otherwise doesn’t comply with these rules may not be counted, and you may be subjected to public ridicule!

Feel free to post in this thread as well that you have PM’d me, if for no other reason than to bump this back up for others who may want to participate who may not have seen the thread yet.

I'm down, but I'm pretty busy with work for a few weeks, so hopefully I'll have time to do the sorter-ranking-engine-thingy for this. That's a lot of songs and choices to pick, though I might weed out the songs I don't know or care for to help make my ranking easier.

And yeah, as said earlier in the thread, the Top 10 might be pretty obvious, but I'd love to be surprised!

Seeing Awaken in that setting was a top 5 concert moment for me.

Not that I think it'll make anyone's Top 50, but I'm surprised that "Something's Coming" didn't make the cut when other non-album songs and covers like "Dear Father" and "America" did. It's one of my favorite pre-Howe Yes songs! I've also been thinking about it a lot lately cuz the orchestra I'm in is doing a medley of tunes from West Side Story.

Well...damn...I can't say I gave it any thought, but I'd have sworn that was an album track also.  That's why I didn't include it when I made the list.
