Ok guys, here it is. I was super lenient here and everyone's song was awesome!
Now, for the results!
Train of Naught's: "Celestial Violence" by Ihsahn.
Score: 9/10
The growling was awesome, as was the clean vocals. The chorus where the singer growls: "Celestial Violence!" was the highlight of this song. Made me cosmically happy and helped me to reach beyond the stars.
Scoripon's: "Suicide" by The Devin Townsend Band.
Score: 9/10
I've never heard of this band before, but I have to thank you for introducing this band. The growls were awesome and the the song itself was super dark. It was almost all I asked for.
Shadow Ninja's: "Landon Tewers" by Findlay
Score: 9.5/10
Ok, this song is so awesome. It's mood is awesome, the acoustic is awesome, the lyrics are awesome.....I can go on forever. This really struck a chord with me. Nice job!
Sacul's: "Routine" by Steven Wilson.
Score: 10/10
Perfect. This is the song I love. Another boost was that Steven Wilson worked with Opeth and I am currently in love with them right now. The length of the song is awesome and this song was perfect, filled with a lot of emotions. I was crying by the end of this song. Thank you. The girl's voice was also awesome. Really fits the whole atmosphere.
Lonestar's: "Frequency" by IQ.
Score: 8.5/10
In my opinion this is one of the best Neo-Progressive song ever written! Awesome introduction and transitioning to the riff was just awesome! Although there were some parts that irked me, it was still a very strong song nonetheless. Deserves all the praise it can get!
Elite's: "Pareidolia" by Haken.
Score: 10/10
Never has almost 11 minutes passed so fast! May I dare say that this song is the embodiment of prog metal? This reminds me of Dream Theater in many ways. Also, why does the song "Outcry" come to me, when I'm listening to this song? Real nice song and I'm wondering why I haven't heard about this band!
Tomi's: "The Thirst" by Enchant.
Score: 9/10
The acoustic introduction was what got me. I love anything that has an acoustic section in it. The drumming and the lyrics of the song was what stood out to me the most. Really enjoyable and would listen to it again anytime! Thanks Tomi.
Luke's: "Only for the Night" by RX Bandits.
Score: 9.5/10
Nice song! It was really catchy and that bass, man, the bass! At first I was skeptical that I might not enjoy ska, but after listening to this song, I didn't have to say anymore! Thanks so much Luke! Really enjoyed this song, even if there weren't people to share its awesomeness too.
Destiny of Chaos': "Epica" by Consign to Oblivion
Score: 10/10
The orchestra introduction hooked me immediately, and it stayed hooked until the end. This song is indeed "Epica." I've never heard of the band, but I'm glad you introduced this band to me. This song paved the way for many other songs. Ok, I just relistened to this song. It's really amazing! Love the whole orchestra thing. Reminds me a lot of Ayreon and Ayreon is awesome! Love the grunts and growls also!
Parama's: "Naif"/"Linear Failure"/"My Favorite Society Guy" by East of the Wall.
Score: 10/10
Bass in this album is kicking ass. Guitars are on fire, drums are to the point, vocals are amazing, and this album is a great find. I can now see why you call this the "Parama staple." And now I understand your Personal Text: "The Apologist." Had a blast listening to the 3 songs. Amazing, really.
