Did anyone answer the 'What song was it he borrowed from' question as I also would like to know  ;D

And I thought I read they were thinking of recording again but I see this is a farewell tour?

Oh and am I the only one who thinks their comeback album What If is one of their best? Right up there with Lean Into It for me \m/

I'd like to know as well. And I'm with you - What If is incredible!

What If was outstanding. their last one - not so much (many outside writers, IIRC).

What If has two songs that I consider up there with my favorite Mr. Big tracks (All The Way Up and Undertow) and the rest is fairly forgettable with a few interesting bits here and there.

They’ve actually done two albums since What If, and I haven’t bothered to check out either of them.

the backstage area of that chinese festival looked weird, felt like a concentration camp or something lol
Had to watch again. Yeah it did look rather 'unfun'.

Awesome! One thing I’ve been struck by watching Nick playing this in clips this week is just how much stamina it must take to pull that track off.

There's been a rash of post by the Japanese music community recently, they just did a few shows in Tokyo and I swear half the musicians I follow were there.

Love how Nick shares his experience with playing with a big band like Mr Big and his excitment and all the nerves he had. He's livin' the dream that's for sure.

It was also pretty great to hear his wife saying how happy she was for him getting to play these shows (not realizing he was filming). They’ve been together a long time and I know she’s done a lot to support his career too.

Happy for them that they have NDV with them, but am I the only one that finds it completely stupid for them to label this current tour their "farewell"? Even when it was first announced, I was pretty confident they were gonna enjoy playing with Nick and wanna do a new album with him, and I'm really not a big fan of theirs in the first place. How much moreso you diehards and the band themselves?
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

The way Billy phrased it in the tweet is that it is to “commemorate our fairwell tour.” So I’m not sure if it’s a whole new album or if they are just making some bonus tracks for a live album or what. Personally I think Eric Martin has kind of reached a point vocally where I’m not super excited about new material, but it’s fun to see them still having fun doing it. With Nick involved I’m probably more likely to check out a new Mr. Big studio album if that’s what this is. So long answer short, it doesn’t really bother me if they keep going despite having a fair well tour (this was their second one at least anyway).

Would it be possible for them to stop touring as Mr Big, yet keep recording new music regardless? I mean, Sheehan is already in his early 70's.

By the way, I got my ticket for the show in London in March. Can't wait to see them for may be the final time.

Thank you! I've reached out to the PR, and while I'm confident that my contact can arrange access for the mentioned shows above, she surely knows who is the right person to reach out to for the U.S. shows. I'll keep you posted as soon as I receive a response.

WOW. Is that for GA? They are playing The Fillmore in SF (which is 800 or so capacity, GA, which is what they played when I last saw them on the What If? tour), and then a 200 capacity BAR close by. We're just gonna do the latter.

$52 after taxes/fees for the local NJ show, GA only

It won't sell out so hoping I can spend a little less either via resale or at the door to knock it down to $40 without the fees.

That's what I am expecting here. 50 bucks. I'm a little leery of Eric's voice these days, but it'll be nice to see them one more time before they wrap it up.
