Ok here's one...
Which is the best terminator sequel ?
I mean they're all pretty bad - but Genisys was ok up til a point. Arnie was great in it. Rise of the Machines was decent apart from the opening cheese fest but Salvation was mostly dull
so i'll say that one.
1 and 2 I bow down and worship. 3, 4 and 5 are abominations as far as I am concerned.
3 poorly rips of 2's plot and while shitting on the entire philosophy of the whole series and that I live my life by, "there's no fate but what we make for ourselves". The soundtrack is non-present. Like what the hell, the whole car chase is dead silent, and you don't even hear the terminator theme until the end credits. The soundtrack of 1 and 2 were monumentally important to the films and brought power and emotion to the scenes. Sarah conner dies off screen and is lame. The t-800 is turned into a buffoon with the "talk to the hand" stuff and him wearing the corny sunglasses at the beginning. 3 is the one I really do not like.
Salvation shoots the whole damn thing during the day for some reason with no plasma riffles. Felt absolutely nothing like what was set up by cameron. anton yelchin was a great actor, but terribly miscast as Kyle. Reese is a broken, traumatized and fierce badass. I got no sense of that what so ever in salvation. The tone of the future in that film was so wildly off. Salvation was a swing and a miss.
Genesys is I guess least offensive. It wants so bad to pay respect to the originals but is another huge swing and a miss. And again the reese character is played very different that what cameron created. The beginning future scenes are very cool and recapture the feel of how they were presented in 1 and 2. I wish they would have just kept the whole thing in the future, because once they went back in time, it went WAY off the rails and just turned into fan fiction honestly. And what on earth they were thinking, spoiling things in the trailer? geez
3 I strongly dislike. 4 and 5 I just kind of ignore. And 1 and 2 I will love and enjoy until the day I die.
