I remember noticing JPs tone being really muddy especially during the songs with the lower tunings. I feel like on DT12 and on this tour, his tone has a more "metallic" sound to it that's just IN YOUR FACE.

Can't wait to see and/or hear FF. It was easily the most awesome song when I saw them in Stockholm in February. Judging by how Strange Deja Vu sounded in the YT-video, I imagine it is absolutely fantastic on this DVD.

The mix is very compressed but unlike Luna Park, that had overbearing guitar from start to finish, the volume of the instruments varies over time. During regular riffs, the guitar often crushes the keyboard. But when Jordan plays a lead, he gets more audible. During my first listen of the stereo mix, I didn't notice any important keyboard parts that were inaudible (as I did on Luna Park).

As far as the orchestra is concerned, Strage Deja Vu is their low point in the mix. They sound a lot better on Illumination Theory and Overture 1928.
It was a deliberate mixing decision to make them inaudible during a large part of Strange Deja Vu (I don't condone it, just want to inform you). It's not representative for the whole concert.

FYI, the BR/CD package is NOT on backorder.  Mine was shipped today, only ordered last night, and they stated to me via email :  "It is NOT on backorder."

Received confirmation email today from RoadRunner store. 
Projected Delivery Date: Monday Sept 29. 

It appears that the poster is shipped separately from the BluRay/CD package.  I have two tracking codes.

Ehhh, I've spent $21 on it.  For a near three hour show, that's looks to be good enough value for me.  Hopefully, it fulfills that.

I preordered from amazon in the US and I dont expect an email confirmation until Monday the earliest, but likely not until Tuesday.  I used the free shipping, maybe if ordered with one of the better shipping services itll be earlier.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
