Holy crap, they're playing a 20k people venue here. That's sick.

Same with Montreal.  The Bell Centre is the NHL arena where the Canadiens play.  That's huge.  Quebec always has been a much bigger metal market, but that's awesome that they are doing an evening with show at a venue of that size.  Almost makes me want to head up there.

Cool that Toronto is the kickoff.  Can't wait for that!
If I recall correctly, that's where the Gigantour DVD took place. It's awesome that they're upping their game and playing bigger places, at least outside the US.

More than likely.  They also played there for PN2009, but I don't know what the attendance was like.

So I just checked, and, uh, you are one of the two who haven't sent.

Greensburg, PA is only about 45 minutes from my house! Basically, its a Pittsburgh PA show, as Greensburg is a town near the outskirts of the city.  Really excited its at the Palace Theater too, great venue, I've seen Satch play there before. Small, but very nice!

Perpetual Change

No way I'm doing the Philly show on a Thursday night, but Friday in NY sounds good, if I can turn it into a weekend.

Guys, the North American leg isn't going to be only 5 weeks long.  There will be more dates announced.

No, I don't know this for sure, but come on.

The problem is the way it's talked about. It says the tour will wrap up in Guadalajara. There is no inkling that there will be more dates. They definitely need to clarify one way or the other so people can either accept it and not hold out with false hope or people can calm down and wait for the next batch of dates.

Haven't been to the Hammerstein Ballroom in years.  I was quite fine with that.  Oh well.  Friday night traffic going into NYC should be fun.  Regardless...

Bring on Dream Theater!

There are PLENTY of gaps in the current itinerary for more dates. As I said earlier, I am not 100% sure just yet, but the info I've been given certainly suggests there'll be more dates. But don't hold me to that.

Well I hope i'm wrong because I've been really excited for this tour.

Soooo, who is the pre-sale for? How does one buy tickets on the pre-sale date?

Also I will most likely be at the DC show :metal

Okay, I suck.  I went to the official site and clicked on Tour for the latest tour info, and all it had was the dates.  I couldn't even find the press release you guys were apparently reading.  Yeah, it's on the main page, but I always ignore the main page and just go to the Tour page for Tour info.  You'd think it would be there, too.

It does say that the tour finishes in Guadalajara, so maybe the next leg's in the fall, as some have speculated.

Exactly. I'd like to know as well.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

It would be cool if they announced an Ottawa date. There's clearly a gap in between Montreal on March 21st and the next show four days later. I don't want to have to travel 2-3 hours to Montreal or 5 hours to Toronto for a DT show if I don't have to. But If I have to, I fucking will!

DT pls to come to Florida. Seriously, I'll be super disappointed if these turn out to be all the dates. There is no way I could make any of these. There isn't one within 1000 miles of where I live, in Florida. Even Atlanta, I might make the trek if it were a weekend night. But really there should be at least one Florida date. There's no way that there's no market for it.

DarkLord_Lalinc

They'll probably do a second leg, there are way too much places to cover and it's unlikely to cover most of them in one run.
That being said, I do feel there are still some dates that are gonna be announced soon.

JayOctavarium

Question is... will the second leg be an EVENING WITH... run?

YES a Friday night show in NYC. Haven't been to Hammerstein in years... saw 311 there in 2003. But I am pumped. I was really hoping for a friday/Saturday show because it is convenient with my work schedule so I could not be any happier.  :metal

The Roadrunner press release has a date listed for the Paramount in Huntington, NY, that's not listed on the official website: https://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/news/dream-theater-tour-20131217

Orbert

Their PR department sucks.  Or their webmaster, or somebody.  It says "All Dates".  When you click on "All Dates", you go to the Tour page, where it lists "All Dates".  Except they're obviously adding dates as they get confirmed, etc.

Would it kill them to just mention somewhere "More dates to be announced"?

The Riverside date is in San Diego in this link.  Looks like it's not all sorted out yet.  The DT site says Riverside, though, so I'm guessing RR is wrong.

Balls! No Seattle or Portland!
FYI

There is a Seattle AND Oregon (though NOT Portland date).

Seattle is the 14th (check TM) and I believe Salem, Oregon is the 15th.

Well, I don't know what the hell was happened but DT hasn't came to Turkey for 5 years. It's just depressing.

The organizing people who were responsible bringing them and keeping in touch for future shows quit the organization scene for personal reasons, as far as I know. Nobody has been interested to bring them. It's not that they don't want to come or anything.

mike099

Based on the past tours, they will probably be a late summer/fall tour.  They normally hit some southeast cities and of course Texas.  Being as they are bit more popular now, they may hit a city in Tennessee.  I can only hope.  If not Atlanta will surely be on the next list.

I'm in Florida so absolutely no luck with any of these dates. Why is the tour so short? Nothing about more dates to come or anything.

Me too! No Georgia dates either. I would drive to Georgia but much rather have a Florida date.

Ben_Jamin

Yup I think Denver is a must this time. Its close to where I usually stay and can bring a friend along.
