I've only played it for about 10 minutes (my dad is visiting) and it was driving me insane.

So I'm guessing none of you are having the same problem I'm having with the party invites?

Well the problem you are having now is the problem I have when I am home. Hence the reason why we never played together. Last night I was able to join your games, today I can't. I am not sure why.

Same here. Last night I was able to play with no problems at all, today I can't get into invites! I read something that has to do with the "Your NAT type", but mine's open so it suppose to have no problems!

why aren't you online then, you ian?

Haven't seen you much around Stark, what system for you?

School is screwing me up, having to spend too much time on it. I also don't have a computer in my room so it isn't nearly as convenient to get here on a regular basis.

I'm on the 360, gamertag is nakedcups.

Well I played the first 3 or so levels, did some sepc ops with a mate over live and a few multiplayer matches.

The game is very, very intense - Im playing on hardened but Im thinking of restarting on veteran - or maybe I'll finish it and then redo...hmmm.

The 'controversial' scene actually shocked me quite a bit. I didn't think it would be that bad but it actually was lol! I chose to play through it to experience the atmosphere but just shot the people 'i had to shoot' - ie the police as they were trying to kill me. The end of the level was the real shock actually.

Graphically it is awesome - it looks great on the 360 and I may just pick it up for the PC a little later on so I can bump up the grfx to the max....but Im really enjoying it on the 360.

Spec Ops mode is the shiz! The best level so far is the sniper level. You and your mate strap on guillie (sp?) suits and crawl the the grass in the chernobyl level from the previous game - absolutely awesome. Its the first sniper inspired multiplayer that actually feels like being a sniper.

Being that I didn't start playing until 1130pm last night, I didn't get too far through...but I rate the game very high so far. It's just so polished. I find it awesome that developers spend so long on games to treat us like this.

And they work quite well too!

Not military grade, of course, but for $70 they do their job. (I say $70 because the prestige edition is $150, but it's the goggles plus the hardened edition, which was $80, so the cost of the goggles is that.)

My friends and I all had night vision goggle we bought on amazon. We all had nerf guns as well. We would turn off all the lights in his house at night and go crazy.

Anyway, this game just seems like a refined COD4...which is awesome in my book.  The graphics are absolutely incredible.

i really love the multiplayer in this game. I got to level 25 before I realised you could edit your killstreak rewards, and that just made it all the better. The Harriers are fucking awesome. It really does seem like they've tried to overcome every single little complaint that people had about COD4, for example the fact that if you have a helicopter you can't use because there is already one in the air, it goes into a queue and puts it up for you when it can so you can carry on playing and not just lie somewhere frantically tapping the d-pad. And having all the different aerial attacks is great.

It's gonna take forever to progress through all the prestiges too. I've been playing for about 8 hours in total and I'm up to level 34, which is a lot better than some people have done who've been playing for the same time as me, so considering that it takes longer to be promoted the higher you go, and there are 70 levels, I reckon it's gonna need minimum 24 hours playing time per prestige. And who knows how many prestiges there are this time around.

And as for the single player, I loved the 'controversial' scene, and tried to blow away as many people as possible. But I'm a bit fucked up. The story is great so far too, really absorbing, but I can only play for a while before the call of multiplayer draws me back ha.
