So, perusing back through this thread again, we never talked about the Romo live DVD. I've had it for a while, but had never just sat down and watched it from start to finish, until last night, and after doing so, let me just say...WOW. That is easily one of the best live concert films I've ever seen. Pretty awesome how the crowd goes absolutely berserk for nearly every song they played. So, so good.
Also, when the release was first announced, just looking at the running order, I had said this:
a. They left off Unsustainable, which WAS the opening song. Maybe they got the idea from U2, who did the same thing on their Rose Bowl DVD (left off the first song that was performed), but it is moronic.
b. No Stockholm Syndrome or New Born, which were rotated from show to show all tour. And SS was even played at the filmed show, but was cut! Unreal.
c. Guiding Light? Seriously?
d. They left off Liquid State, which is not a song I am not crazy about, but it is a rare lead vocal from Chris Wolstenholme. And you leave it off the video even though it was actually played at the show you filmed?
a. I still wish they had included Unsustainable in the main set, instead of having it merely as an extra, but Supremacy was a great opener, so I am okay with it.
b. Stockholm Syndrome is included as an extra as well, and it heavily features the pyramid stage show that we saw on the U.S. tour, so that was pretty great.
c. Guiding Light actually worked in the set, especially with the cool things they did with it live (the big light bulb and whatnot).
d. Also included as an extra from the U.S. leg.
Overall, I might put this up in the top tier of live concert DVDs ever...simply amazing.
