This album comes out tomorrow, a prog metal concept album centered around Lebanese band Ostura, with many guest musicians including Arjen, Marco Sfogli, and the Prague philharmonic. I've spun a promo copy of this one, and it's beyond tremendous. Fans of ayreon, it would be criminal for you to miss this album...

That is good. I heard physical releases are planned for the near future and I'd like to grab a copy then.
-
Definitely gonna check this out, sounds like I'd hate it :corn
-
I'm on it like a cougar on a wounded chicken
-
Sounds cool.
Anyway how is your sex life?

I cannot stress enough how fucking good this thing is guys...

On my 2nd spin now. Kicking my ass for sure.

Goddamnit, the album isn't available yet in the US iTunes store for some reason.

Or Canada - and I told them that twice over FB!
-
Yeah, they're release is quite confusing, streaming only in the US for now. Hopefully the positive press it's getting will convince the label to release it at least on download if not a physical copy.

I gave it one spin (the album is up on the streaming service I use), and while the musicianship was pretty good, I thought the vocal melodies were very forced at times. Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention, I'll try it again tomorrow.

Dude... Mike Mills provides a lot of contributions - and not the screamy high-pitched kind. He sounds marvellous here.

Just finished Escape. Holy fuck this album is great so far. I love the guitar work, orchestra, and the female vocals. The riffs have good grooves to them as well. Its energetic, and metal.
-
Escape is burned into my head today, such an epic track.

Just got around to checking this out.
This album is a giant tease. There's a heaviness to it but it never really gets heavy like I hoped it would, or should. And I'm always meh on female vocals.

I can see how someone who digs the uber heavy could consider this a tease. For me the heaviness is taken care of by the hugeness of the sound, I really can't describe it any other way. How they closely intertwine the orchestral parts with the more traditional metal elements really adds another level of depth to the music for me, and they seem to do it at an extreme that hasn't really been done before. I've spun this thing about twenty times now, and it still gives me a chubby every time.

Exactly. I can't describe it either. But it has this Heavy style that I can't quite convey. The best I could describe it is...Progressive Symphonic Metal (emphasize the metal).
-
This album is freaking awesome. Thanks for the tip. The orchestration is huge and really puts this band over the top.
-
Awesome killer stellar Album! Proudly made in my country ;D
-
I pretty much agree with everything said in this review, especially about the 2nd half being the better part of the album.

Yeah, him and I were equally blown away by the album.

I don't think this album is getting as much attention as it deserves. :metal The closest thing I can compare this to is Ayreon and this blows Ayreon's last album out of the water. Escape is Beyond epic. ;)
And TAC can suck it , this is heavy in all the right places. :tup

This is so sig-worthy.

Great album.
Duality is all kinds of awesome, but especially the mellow section of singing after the world music bit. Chill inducing.

The Room is now available on disc...

Not sure what this has to do with a nebula or a Federation.

Sucking in any universe is TAC's wheelhouse. :lol
-
Nice! :lol
-
Ooo......I want that.
-
This album has jumped up my rankings in the last week or so. It's just great! Deathless is just :hefdaddy I can't get enough of it.
-
Still the album of the year for me... despite great releases from Redemption and Michael Romeo.
-
Great, great album! I knew about this album because of this forum, several people were recommending it.
My favorite track is "The surge", the last part of the song is one of the most incredible moments of music I've ever heard. I always described as the perfect combination of Electronic, Metal and Orchestra. From the first time I heard that bit I was amazed.
-
Sure would be nice if they could finally get this album up on iTunes :censored
-
Finally checking this out on Spotify.... sounds awesome
The orchestrations add soo much depth
