Least favorite. Easier for everyone involved.

I figured it would be easier to read the results that way, but I also think that it would be harder to vote out your least favourite than to state which songs you like better than others. I actually really like the power game set-up.

but yeah, I'll just keep it as a least favourite.

I find it funny that in a lot of interviews I've seen john actually tries to answer the interviewer seriously after hearing daron.

Well that is the rare occasion that he does actually talk

[...]to start off, BEST LYRICS of some of there songs:

Chic N' Stu:
Go to the refrigerator....
doors closed.....
lights are out....
BOY ITS GETTING HOT!!!!

I always thought he was saying "Butter's getting hard"[...]

That's nothing compared to some of my misinterpretations.
I used to think that the line in "Needles" was "All the paper money on earth" when, in actuality, it was "Pull the tapeworm out of your ass". I'm not quite sure how I misheard it so badly, but I do know that I was shocked when I read the lyrics one day.

Stumbled upon this collection of funny Daron moments:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA_03yXbGk8

"I'm gonna quit the band after this interview." :lol

That video was actually really annoyingly edited. I've seen a lot of those interviews in their entirety, and some of the funniest moments within them either precede or succeed those shown in that collage. The cutoff points were perhaps in the worst possible places.

I don't know where to get started with these guys, recommend some songs for me please!

Well, I took it all in one hit when a friend of mine gave me all of their albums on a thumb drive. It's now three weeks later and I own their entire discography (legally) and am a dedicated fan... So, if there's any way that you can just do what I did, then I'd recommend that method.

If you've got $25 lying around that you don't want, then you could always just invest in this  ;D.

Mezmorize is the one album that most people I know enjoy the most. It is a really great album.

Their self-titled is also pretty damn amazing.

I've been obsessed with relistening to System lately because I got Radio/Video stuck in my head and decided to listen to it. Then I listened to Mezmerize and it carried on from there.

My album rankings would have to be:

Mezmerize
Steal This Album
Toxicity
Hypnotize
System of a Down

My absolute favorite songs are Sugar, Pepphole, Needles, Chop Suey!, Toxicity, Chic 'n' Stu, Mr. Jack, Fuck the System, Ego Brain, Thetawaves, BYOB, Revenga, Cigaro, Radio/Video, Violent Pornography, Sad Statue, Attack, Kill Rock 'N Roll, Vicinity of obscenity and She's like Heroin.

I realize this was a long list but I couldn't narrow it down lol

The lack of Question! in that list is most disturbing.

Question! is the best ever. It's one of SoaD's most serious songs, in terms of song writing and lyrical content. And dem gallops.

Plus the music video provides for so much win, and I don't normally care about music videos anymore.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

Honestly, all of Mezmerize (except for Old School Hollywood and Lost in Hollywood) would be on the list but I didn't feel like putting every song on there. Question! is an absolutely brilliant song, the "Do we...Do we knoooowwwww...when we flyyyyyyyy, when we...when we goooo...do we dieeeeeee....yeahhhhhhhh *heavy*" part always gives me chills.

To kind of jump in to last pages conversation, I think Hypnotize is a good album. I don't think it's on the ungodly level Mezmerize, Toxicity and Steal This Album are but it's still a very solid album. I personally feel like the those three consecutive albums will always be the absolute highlight of System of a Downs career and are complete interchangeable as the three greatest albums by SOAD. I think both the self titled album and Hypnotize have their moments, and have parts that really get you pumped or get the hair on the back of your neck up. However, they just don't seem as well put together as the other three. I don't think any SOAD album is bad, I just think only Mezmerize, Toxicity and Steal This Album are absolutely brilliant.

I think it's good, possibly great, maybe even brilliant at times, just not on the same level Mezmerize, Toxicity and Steal This Album are.

I think that whether or not you like "Old School Hollywood" depends on whether or not you can tolerate Daron's vocals on it. I, personally, cannot, and thus consider it to be the worst song off of 'Mezmerize' solely for that reason. I think that the chorus is terrific, though.

"Question!", I believe, is also one of the weaker points on 'Mezmerize', as it's unfortunately a slightly bland song on what is otherwise a very colourful, memorable album with a lot of character. It's by no means a bad song, but in contrast to the rest of the album, it really does suffer a whole lot.

Lost In Hollywood is their best on Mezmorize. Question is bottom 5 for me, doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. Old School Hollywood is a fun song about a baseball game, I especially love the synths indicating 3 strikes your out.

It's been ages since I listened to Mezmerize, but if I had to pick a 'weakest' song, I'd probably say Cigaro.
Yeah the lyrics are kinda lol, and it's not a bad song.. but yeah.

Whatever man, I keep seeing the opinion that Question is the weakest song, which I strongly disagree with. Imo, Lost In Hollywood is the weakest on the album (great song, but I don't enjoy it as much as the others).

ANYWAYS. FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN INTERESTED AND WAITING!!

the System of a Down survivor that I am running is just finishing up with the self-titled album rounds.

Next I will be running the Toxicity rounds, so pleeeease vote! We need more people in this shindig.
Thanks, yo.
