Same here. It's payday so there'll be some more whiskey and wine flowing.

In... Started with a grapefruit IPA by Abita, and now big sky IPA.

In. Abita Grapefruit Harvest IPA. Fucking brilliant. Dry with a delightful grapefruity tartness and just tastes bright bright bright. This shit is doin it for me.

In. New Belgium RyePA (word play!) and their Citradelic tangerine IPA. Both were pretty damn good but not quite life-changing. I think my ultra short amount of free time between getting off and having to work a morning shift dampened my ability to fully appreciate them but at least I start a 3-day weekend tomorrow evening and I'll be very In then.

Drank two quadruples yesterday, before dinner. Had an awesome night  :lol

I'm really enjoying the darker, coffee and chocolate flavored beers. It's really cool to discover beer in this way, I've always seen it as a binge drink drink. Untappd is a great app for discovering new beers btw, if you guys are into that kind of stuff.

Payday on Friday=Pork chops, fried potatoes and sleep nekid.

There was an old dude I worked with when I was kid who would say that. 5:00 would roll around and if it was Friday AND payday, we would drop his tools on the ground (like dropping the mic) and declare in a orators voice, "Payday on Friday? Porkchops, fried potatoes and sleep nekid!"

Grey Goose is fine stuff if you drink straight or on the rocks. If you instead make mixed drinks, you can save a ton of money with Monopolowa. The best booze, for the money, on earth, IMO.

I actually prefer the taste of it to Grey Goose

Making mixed drinks with Grey Goose, especially one like a Bloody Mary where you can't taste the difference in the vodka, is a complete waste of money.  If I do drink GG, which I usually don't because I'm not a vodka fan, it's straight.

I'll have to check it out, I usually just mix with some seltzer so I still prefer something better tasting, and something less likely to make me feel crappy the next morning.  Svedka is what I normally buy for mixing with anything else or for parties since that is cheap but pretty good.

I may have to try that next.  This is a great single drink, like have one and it tastes great and can give you a buzz with enough whiskey in it, but not a drink I can drink a lot of cause of the sugar, but this is new to me and I'm open to trying something else that is similar.  Having said that, my cider is now gone and my glass is now full  :hat

That went quick. I'm moving over to a few fingers of Bulleit Rye on the rocks and a twist of lime.

Intriguing.  I drank a LOT of Bulliet Rye on the rocks this summer, but never did the lime.  I'll need to give that a try.

I'm now on to a blood orange mimosa (my wife is putting it on her food blog).  That 8 AM with a vendor can go jump up its own ass.

It's been a fucking week from hell.  I see Woodford Reserve in my future, with a possible visit from Johnny Walker.

Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Sierra Nevada surprises me that they can get into as many stores as they do considering how good their beer is. Most of the widely carried non-macros are usually pretty damn middling.
