The friction would cause decreased speed and lower altitude.

Not if the disk were spinning at a rate faster than its trajectory, in which case it could actually accelerate.

Not if the disk were spinning at a rate faster than its trajectory, in which case it could actually accelerate.

That is assuming that the spin is constant.  It isnt.  The spin decreases with time, and with contact with the wall.  But all that is moot.

Once the frisbee leaves the wall, its trajectory will be STRAIGHT, and not continue along the forced curve of the wall.  If that were real, the frisbee would follow the wall, and then go straight out through the opening.

Lets just settle it and get a DTF scientist on the case.
Oh shit, you're right!

It's hard to tell the exact curves because of the low camera angle, but it looks like it's 2 3/4 circles together, meaning that the open points of the circle are about straight line to each other. Honestly, I think it would be just as hard to fake. :lol

Not even close to 3/4 circles.
But it is silly to argue over, right?
It just looks totally fake to me and my understanding of physics.
Next Gif please?

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

The Frisbee thing did not look fake to me at all. This is a plastic disc riding along concrete. Gravity is almost irrelevant in that short a time.

She looks like someone who has never actually thrown a baseball before.  The simple coordination of releasing the ball at the proper point in the arc isn't instinctive; it's learned.

It looks more like she's never thrown anything before.

The proper technique of throwing a baseball from the mound across the plate is definitely learned.  But throwing something forward is just throwing something forward.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

But when you're standing on a pitcher's mound looking at a target 60 feet away from you, you're not thinking about "just throwing something forward".  You're suddenly intimidated by the distance and wondering what the fuck you've gotten yourself into.  Then you try your damnedest to throw the ball as far as you can, even though you've never thrown anything more than five feet across the room to a friend, and totally fuck it up.

And besides, there's nothing wrong with her butt.

I looked back five pages and I can't find that GIF where the female gamer needed ammo.   Was that another thread?  Another board?

It was funny as hell and I wanted to show my wife.

My wife made a crack to me that "women don't work as hard...because they do it right the first time."    My response was "No...*THIS* is why women don't work as hard!

Ah...married life.
