Hope the deluxe box set will be available to pre order from amazon.de, ADTOE wasn't, if i remember well it was available from roadrunnerUK. If the release date is the 9/20 here in germany i wouldn't like to wait till 9/24, and shipping from the US could even take longer.

The band seems to be open to fans wishes, i don't think the original plan was to release anything else from Mangini's audition. And if by high quality FLAC they mean the HD tracks, then the box set is almost perfect. Only critique point is that they only release the stems for Behind the Veil.

Pre-ordered the deluxe box set. The RR store spoke of 4-6 weeks for shipping so I'm guessing I won't have my box on the day the album officially drops so I'm wondering if they will give us a digital download to use while we wait for it to arrive or if I should place an order for the regular version from a local store.

I can't seem to find a way to download The Enemy Inside that's supposed to come immediately with the pre-order. Would you happen to know how I'd go about doing that?

Yeah, after I confirmed my order I got to the order confirmation page and there I could click a link to download the single.

Did you register at the store when you placed your order? If so you can log in and then click My Wishlist to access this menu which will allow you to click on My Downloadable Products. See the color-coded walk-through below. =)

Edit: And now that I look at the screenshot I made for you I can also see the answer to the question I posted earlier. Yes, we will get a digital version of the album while we wait for our deluxe box to be delivered.

Yay! The box set looks awesome. Those of you without a 5.1 and/or record player are missing out. I got a brand new player for 45 bucks two years ago and it works fine, and records sound amazing on it.

DAYAM.

That had better be on the 2xdisc DVD edition. I'm not forking over some ungodly sum just for that.

Or i'll just watch YouTube and download it from there the moment it is up :P

Yep, it does. And I've bitched and ranted enough about that already in my listening reactions in the single thread. The stream and how awful it makes the song sound through good gear made me really dislike and almost bash the single although it's not that bad at all, it's simply not my preferred style. Can't wait to get home and play the single download through big speakers, the way it's supposed to be played.

I don't really understand how a LP could include FLAC files. Other than that, I'm so getting this, like I got the last 2 limited editions.

The vinyl version includes a download of the full album as high quality FLAC files. It's more clear on the product image on this link-
https://store.roadrunnerrecords.com/dream-theater-dream-theater-vinyl-2xlp.html
They just copied the same text verbatim into the boxset description, so it looks confusing that it's described on the same line as the LPs, but it's not related to the LP itself, hence it looking confusing.

Who's the resident CSI filter guy, again? In the very link blob posted there is the possibility to zoom in on the inside of the vinyl package and see some lyrics for "The Looking Glass"!  :yarr

All I see is that there is no lyrics in the False Awakening Suite. Didn't know if that was established or not.

Well, I took it for granted from the information that FAS is supposed to be an Into track. But yes, that seems a confirmation.

Not high enough res to make out much unfortunately.

However, just as extra confirmation, the album cover shown has no cutoff. :tup

edit: the few lyrics I can make out are the same ones we've already gotten from the studio vids, I'm sure. :lol

I'd keep on eye on JB-Hifi. Nothing listed yet, but I'd expect they'll probably get it sooner than that.

Same thing here. I was thinking that I should order the regular edition from a local store as well, in order to be able to play it as soon as possible. After ordering the deluxe box I noticed that we'll get a digital download to enjoy while waiting for the deluxe box to be delivered. I might end up buying the regular CD anyhow, my parents would be overjoyed if I handed the CD to them out of the blue as they usually don't buy physical copies.
