What does a commercial twist really mean? Pink Floyd and Rush? Then hell yes! Modern rock (I really don't even know what to call this... alternative?)? Then hell no.

DT does Nickelback.

I simply expect some more "catchy" choruses, like in BITS, BMUBMD, AROP, Wither or Forsaken.

Yeah, the new song. Sorry. Should have clarified. We know it's being released tomorrow, but have they released the time?

Lucky you. Is there some way of getting the song on the forums in advance?

Sorry, I meant it's past midnight so it's being released today. But not yet, and probably not for at least another 9 hours or so. I'm off to bed now, and hopefully, I'll be able to hear it when I wake up.

17:00 would be perfect timing! Coming home from work, finding a stream, preloading, getting ice cold coffee from the fridge, cranking amplifier, sitting down, taking a breath... PRESSING PLAY!

Why? Btw I hope you are wrong, because if the UK does't get it today, Germany probably won't get it on time either :-\

It's quite good, actually. Here in my country they sell coffee in the form of a slushie or something like that.

It's pretty much just an ice cream with coffee, so it's mixed with milk.

I pretty much run on ice coffee during summer. Not the chilled black coffee with vanilla ice cream (though that's great too) but canned or bottled cold coffee, mostly milk-based. Nescafe (in cans) and Starbucks (in small bottles or cups) would be international companies with variants I've tried. Plus many regional ones most likely noone on this forum would know, of course.

Thanks for reminding me I need to refill my supply!

Greetings...
Nef

Guys guys guys, you're making me want to run across the street and get Starbucks, which is bad because I'm putting myself on a strict budget to not spend excess money, since I know the CD/DVD/concert tickets will run a fortune. :lol

Also HOLY SHIT AN HOUR AND A HALF.

Edit: Myung'd on the timing. xD

Yeah, let's just steer this SLOWLY back on topic  :lol

1 and a half hours left until half of the DT fan-base loves the single and the other half says it's too commercial...

There are other valid reasons to dislike a song other than being commercial, you know! And it's also possible to love a song that sounds commercial. Being the first single, we can assume it as the most commercial the new album gets, so I guess it's a "worst case", if you're worried about commercial appeal.

Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Was just kidding. I know a lot of people who just bash and hate things simply because they're commercial. And trust me, DT has many fans like that. Besides, some of my favorite DT songs are actually commercial oriented.

Mine too. FII is one of my favourite DT albums, and I'm a big fan of the more straightforward stuff like These Walls and Hollow Years.
Which is why I can't help myself defending the idea that commercial =/= bad. :tup

I'm really confused. Maybe it's because I'm a really new DT fan, but why is them having a more commercial song such a bad thing? I generally have enjoyed their commercial songs, right next to the super proggy/less accessible ones.
