Woodford Reserve, you mean? One of my.absolute favorites.

Had some Saturday before obliterating myself with Jameson's Caskmates.

Caskmates is dangerously delicious. I could easily kill a bottle before getting hit by the wave.

Took just a sample from my keg of IPA last night, it's been sitting with more hops all week. Very excited to crush a few pints of that when I get home tonight.

Yummy.

Yeah, I need to tone down my water adjustments, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it. A lot going on right now (kegging one saison and brewing another tomorrow, and I've got a hoppy tripel fermenting away), so I'll be sure to bring some samples when we come up in June.

Volume or ph balance?

Volume or ph balance?

Mineral content. I added some gypsum and calcium chloride, but I think it was a bit much. Balance between the two seems OK, but it just tastes a little bit mineral-ly.

Yeah, I had water analysis done before I started messing with any water chemistry. Was going off of what I read was the water profile for at least one of the New England IPA breweries. Don't care for it though.

Do most liquor stores carry the special Sam Adams like Heaven or Helles? I don't think I've ever really seen them before

Not really sure. We're at a friend's house and she has a Sam Adams "Summer Variety" sampler. This is in there. Along with the Got To Gose, which I'm drinking now.

So I built a computer for my friend and in return he got me a bottle of my favorite booze, vodka, but he got my the costco brand, Kirkland.  Apparantly it's very good, anyone ever drink booze from costco?  He isn't the first person to tell me their brand's of alcohol (including beer) are pretty good.

I drank booze in the back of a Costco, but I don't think that's what you mean.

There is a lot of speculation that Kirkland vodka is produced in the same place as Grey Goose.  Apparently they taste pretty similar.  Are they the same or produced in the same place?  Don't know.

My friend told me it's grey goose in a kirkland bottle.  I guess that speculation is fairly known.  For $15 a 1.5 liter of grey goose like vodka means I need a costco membership.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a surprisingly good value for the price. A lot of these big retailers can get good deals set up for their store brand alcohol. Trader Joe's used to (and maybe still does) release a "Trader Joe's Vintage Ale" every year that sold for $4-5 per 750 mL bottle. Turns out that Unibroue (a very good Canadian brewery specializing in Belgian style beers) was making it for them, and their own stuff usually costs close to twice that. I drank a good amount of it the one year I lived close to a Trader Joe's.
