One of my best buds and his girlfriend went to Vermont this weekend for their anniversary. He told us in a text last night that he was proposing at sunrise. Well, sunrise was two hours ago. I haven't heard from him and her Facebook is silent.

They may be enjoying each others company. I had a buddy of mine propose to his girlfriend on a walk on a trail where one of their first dates were. Radio silence for over a day then finally both of them call everybody and say that they are engaged.

When I worked 3rd shift 20 some odd years ago, my wife's apartment (we were engaged at the time) was on a main road next to a highway. Huge trucked rolled by. At first I struggled but I got used to it over time and never noticed after that.

Why?

She doesn't like any of us. There have been instances where we've done something as a group, d she's refused to drive with certain ones of us (who have been friends with him for 15+ years) in her car. She's belittles him on a number of occasions about how she makes double what he does salary wise and how he is holding her back from completing her life goals. Shes just kind of a bitch to all of us for no reason whatsoever. Sure, maybe 4 years ago when we were all still 21 and 22 we could be a little rowdy, but we've all become adults now.

In that instant it feels like a memory and you almost "remember" it...

I guess in the same way that your mind assumes dreams are real and when you fall asleep - sometimes it makes you jerk to make sure you're not actually dying

Another thing I like is when you're in an almost dream state and you're half awake thinking about your job and it's not *quite* a dream but then you realise

Lucid dreaming? I've had those a few times before. I've tried to make myself lucid but often times I just end up waking up when I realize I'm in a dream.

Nah it's not really lucid dreaming. It's when you're not quite asleep yet and you're just imagining being at work but because you're almost asleep anyway it feels like it's real so you kinda

go along with it and then you realise that you're just imagining it. Kinda hard to explain I know.

I think I know what you're getting at. I used have these "dreams" when I was in high school. My mom, my brother and I lived in a town house, we had a shared back yard with the neighboring townhouse however it was vacant, the people that owned it only came down to visit a couple times a year.

Anyway, I remember waking up many nights hearing people talking outside in the yard, in perfect english (my parents have a strong accent). Always different voices, always different topics. I'd run downstairs or look out the window, voices stopped and there was never anyone there.
