Great batch, Zydar!

Or Johnny Knoxville?

Is that a real person?

There's a real benefit to the fact that Tim is three hours ahead of me!

Pretty sure the guy in question is Felipe Carvalho. A Google search would provide more information than I know of, but he’s basically some random dude with internet fame mostly for shitposting selfies in several NFL themed Facebook groups.

I'm not so sure about that one.  I'll remain standing if there's something that catches my attention and a quick glance shows that there's nowhere close to sit down, but after five minutes, I'm either sitting somewhere or moving on.  Besides, who mounts their TV way the fuck up high like that?  (Answer: People who love neck strain.)

If it were only that bad. I hear music in grocery stores now that I had to wade through throngs of angry Jesus-freaks just to see in concert.

My biggest shock was hearing Loved to Death by Megadeth in an *APPLE COMMERCIAL*..  :mehlin

My kids bought me a Dad Joke of the Day calendar for Christmas. That "bread in captivity" joke was from a day this week.

I don't know who that guy in the Netflix intro picture is, but there is a gif of him from that picture turning around in frustration. I use that gif all the time in texts to express displeasure.

Our main grocery store plays "classic rock" and honestly it's a better mix than the local classic rock radio station.  I've heard relatively obscure album tracks and other hidden gems.  It's gotten to the point where I don't mind going grocery shopping (and if you knew me, you'd know what a big deal that is).

Muzak versions blow.  I remember going shopping with my mom and hearing semi-familiar tunes playing in the department stores and thought that they made nice background music for shopping, but once I started recognizing songs I grew up with (years later) I just couldn't.

But I didn't think we were talking about Muzak rock songs.  I hear actual classic rock, original artists and recordings, playing in the grocery stores.  It helps me get through it.

I never knew that macarons and macaroons were different things. I mean, I knew that they were different, but I always assumed it was just a different regional style or something.

Not Jewish, eh?  :lol

We definitely grew up knowing the difference. At least we knew about the meh almond one for Passover and maybe found out about the meh French one later.

The wife used to watch a bunch of baking shows (including the British one).  Otherwise, I'd have been in the same boat.

French macarons are wildly overrated. They're fine, but I'd take most other types of cookies over them.

That was my take, as well. However, I suspect there probably are some that are on a different level than the typical ones. It seems like there's room in those things for solid craftsmanship to really elevate them.

Absolutely... I'd say 95% of the ones out there, and all the ones commercially available are average at best.

I've tried 'em before.  Had some chocolate ones that were pretty good.

Had some chocolate/coconut macaroons, too.  They also were pretty good.

Still seems weird that two completely different snacks differ in spelling by only a doubled letter.
