Yeah bro.  It's actually a bittersweet feeling listening to the old Ryche albums.  So good but you can't help to think about the drama over the last decade.  Almost taints the music a little, no pun intended.  So damn good though.

That's a good question. I was a huge fan of the EP and of course Warning. When Rage came out I was  :omg: WTF is this?? Then you see the band pics and it was like  :omg: :omg: :omg:. Holy hell! :facepalm:

The two songs I liked from the first listen were Walk In The Shadows and Surgical Strike. It really took a while for me on this.

When Mindcrime came out, I thought it was a great return to form after what I thought was a pretty experimental album. It took a while for the genius of Rage to sink in. Years, in fact. But Rage is an album WAY ahead of its time. It went over most metalhead's head. But it's brilliant.

just random.org'ing my way through my christmas haul tbh
this is better than i remember it being, and i already thought it was pretty good when i first listened to it. i think the huge bass presence in this album helps. apparently they get compared to cynic a lot (i still don't have any cynic albums though) and yeah i can see why, but they have more than enough of their own personality and the chops + songwriting to back it up.

Haven't heard this for like 6 months and my opinion hasn't changed. Definitely the best Ayreon has ever done and better than most of the DT albums.

Ah, this is one of those albums I tried to check out because of the nice cover and ended up turning it off after ten minutes or so.
