That CIIC is so reliable.  The Freefall is aging pretty nicely too.

Bowie's "Blackstar"

Already thought this was a great album from the very first listens but, listening to this post Bowie's death, it really feels more powerful, especially since he made this knowing of his eventual fate. It's album of the year material.

Two great albums.

For me, three of the best from 2015

Iron Maiden - book of souls

Europe - war of kings

Queensryche - condition human

I still need to check out War of Kings - I really struggle to get motivated for anything they've done since PiP ........the whole downtuned , bluesy rock, 70's tinged stuff doesn't do much for me as a rule.  But everyone seems to like it so I suppose I had better give it a go.

Do it.  It's one of the better reunion albums, imo.

Very good job of replicating Blind Guardian.

I'm not a fan of anything since PiP either, but all of the post-reunion albums do sound very different to me, so I wouldn't rule all of them out in one go.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Are we getting ready for a 1988 review in the Hard Rock thread? Did we do 1988 yet?

SFSGSW is still my favorite Megadeth album. I can concede that RiP is the best, but SFSGSW killed me when it came out!

Accept- Metal Heart

If I could only take 25 albums with me to a deserted isle, this would make the list.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Yes we are and no we didn't , but I'm doing it very gradually and not even started on the real obscure stuff yet.   But yes , I have started dissecting the year of 1988 in hard rock and metal.

What a year - I might need to do a Top 17 :neverusethis:
