OK I'll start out with a moderate risk tolerance and a somewhat diversified portfolio of investments and adjust as we go. Let's go with Chad, RJ and Ruslan.

First round coming up shortly. I'll try and remember to send on Facebook instead of PMs but can't guarantee I will every round. Though I think sent PMs are either unlimited or have a much higher capacity, so my approach is always to save them by default and quote reply to each submission.

Ok, maybe you missed my question earlier, but after a third read-through of the OP it seems that buying shares of players and songs is the same thing. What I'm not getting then is why you want everyone to buy three shares at $50 apiece right off the bat. That leaves $25 left for each player from a budget of $175. But then when the playlist is revealed, that leaves no one with any money to purchase a share of another song (and potentially add a song to the submission). Maybe I'm just overlooking something.

If you're not into overthinking, this isn't the roulette for you.

I've never played an 18xx game, but I've heard things about them from people I know who have, and played a few things that have extremely simplified versions of its rules. I think this is more likely to confuse than help me.

I like everything from the softer side of prog like Big Big Train and Moon Safari to really heavy stuff like BTBAM and Dimmu Borgir. My banned list are largely what I listen to, although at work I either listen to 70s-90s, country, or rap, depending on whose turn it is to control the music at work when its not my turn.

You pay for shares bought with your dividends and money gained by shorting another song.

I often miss things buried in the thread, so if I miss a question, point me to it in a PM.

You may buy shares of your own company if there are some available.

Spotify or Youtube links are best. I don't pay for any services, but if need be emailing me a song is always an option, since there are bands like Pendragon who don't have their stuff on any streaming services.

Right, but you don't divvy out the payments until the very end of the round, no? So if everyone buys stock in three players right now there will be no purchases after the playlist is revealed for the first round. I don't know if this is what you're going for, because I'm wondering if it's better to hold back on a player purchase or two now and wait to instead invest in a specific song or two in lieu of that.
