You're starting with Blackbird? Dang, interesting. I was pretty underwhelmed by it the first few times, aside from the 2-4 standouts on the album. It's good, but Fortress is the bomb, definitely the superior album.

Someone here said me to start with Blackbird or Fortress. And I know one of my friend likes Blackbird so I choose it for my first album and I like it.

It's ok, Mezzanine is a very dark album and not easy to get into.

If you like that kind of music of Blue Lines, I recommend you Portishead's Dummy :P

I listened to it once and forgot about it. Guess I didn't like it that much(I'm not saying I disliked it :D)

i like this but i dunno if it's as deserving of the critical acclaim it seems to get. the two primarily metal tracks (wooden doors and ghost) are probably the weakest, but nothing here is really bad either, just maybe a bit too long and a few of the songs get a bit samey-sounding
