Can't get enough of this lately.  :hefdaddy

God-tier album right there.

If there was a higher tier than a "god-tier", this album would've made it there. Absolute musical perfection and I'm not tired of saying that every time it gets mentioned.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Jonathan, may I ask you a question? How is it that you can put down 6 albums a day? Can you listen while working?
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

It's not quite 6 a day (but it's close).  My typical day consists of one album during my commute (half in morning/half in evening), 2 albums during work (one of those is usually during lunch), and another 2 albums at home at night.

I can listen at work, but it gets interrupted with calls/meetings/etc. fairly often.

Follow-up on this:

...ehh? I dunno, I feel like this should be doing more for me than it is. If you get past the circus music most of this isn't -that- weird and the proggy instrumental bits always feel a bit heavy on the technical but soulless side of things. Suicide Penguin might be my favorite on the whole disc, honestly. It's not a bad album but I feel like I should like it a lot more than I do.

tho in all honestly this set of four is probably the weakest set in general. Enslaved is great and Crisis is p. good too and I like OoS but it's not as good as absolution, which already isn't even a top 50 album for me  :lol

i like this. i do not love this, though. it feels a bit empty at times, not pulling off the heaviness it wants. but there's a lot of cool sludgy riffs and Karyn is a pretty good vocalist, there's one or two moments of her singing i don't like but otherwise i'm okay with it. the two instrumental tracks are among my favorites though, anyways.

i'm glad i have this album, regardless, even if it's not like the best thing ever or anything, it's the kind of album i didn't have in my library until now and i imagine it may grow on me in the future. it's good.

I love it. Don't give up on it yet.     I'm biased because I adore Anneke, and it's not the best thing she's done, but it's still a great listen.

when that came out i listened to one disc every day for like two weeks and then abruptly stopped and forgot it existed and was only reminded like a month or two down the line that, yes, that happened

i really dig this album and it's not just a one-track wonder of an album either. roots of the mountain is probably the best them but i don't think any track here is disposable and all of them have a ton of cool moments that keep me interested the whole way through. i need more enslaved albums, basically

it's interesting that I got this the same year Drones came out bcuz this is probably the most comparable Muse album to Drones (unless Showbiz is even more so i really don't know)
except, this actually has cool songwriting and edge to it and a cohesive sound as well
i think the album runs out of steam a little after Citizen Erased but none of the songs are bad

^ Either that or Quiet World is my AOTY, I was sure for the longest time that Act IV was the best but both are fantastic.

Giving this another try. I didn't really like it that much after the first few listens.

Don't know why it isn't working for me. I've always liked Devin's mellower stuff and I loved the singer on Ki.  :(
