How was it?
It was very entertaining, in a weird way.
It was clearly done on a low budget, and with a bunch of (at the time) relatively unknown, though very talented, comedic actors. I mean, the cast is a who's who.
The storyline was completely ridiculous, yet also grounded in a weird way; set on the last day of a summer camp, there were plenty of things that happened that resonated with my own camp counselor background.
I would encourage anyone who likes silly comedies, teen comedies, or just fans of the actors involved to watch it.
Even more ridiculous - they all reunited for a Netflix prequel series,
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, which will also add even more stars. They are all 14 years older in real life, but still portraying those same characters from that same summer. Should be a riot.
It debuts on Netflix July 31.
