Happy Holidays, Dream Theater Forums, AKA DTF
I have written a poem for the forums to be read to the cadence of Twas the Night Before Christmas
'Twas the night on the forums, and all through the threads,
Not a keyboard was clacking, not even for meds.
The avatars hung by the usernames with care,
In hopes that Dream Theater soon would be there.
The moderators nestled all snug in their chairs,
With visions of time signatures dancing in pairs.
And me in my headphones, with a DT track,
Had just settled in for a musical nap.
When out in the threads, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the screen, I flew like a flash,
Opened the browser, ready to clash.
The moon on the breast of the virtual snow,
Gave the luster of midday to the avatars below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But Mike Portnoy's return, it was finally here.
Dream Theater fans, in cyberspace so bright,
Discussing riffs and solos throughout the night.
On the forums they gather, a community so grand,
Talking prog metal, across the virtual land.
So we typed with excitement, in the digital sphere,
Discussing our favorite band with holiday cheer.
And I heard them exclaim as the night drew near,
"Happy Dream Theater, and to all a good year!"
I hope you like it. Might not be very active for the next week as I travel around America spreading cheer to all the good lil prog fans
