After many years as a recluse, Lex Luther became agitated and incomplete after his victorious duel with Superman. In his boredom, he opted to seek the legendary Gotham City and pursue a new nemesis...Batman.

Never fully understanding the fact that Batman was mortal just like him, he went to extreme lengths to capture and torture him...in a record 27 hours using a shrinking ray. For fun and amusement, he decided to drop him, and his annoying boy friend, into his favored piano, Rudy.

For months, he would play and play, hoping someday he would eventually whack the pestilent troll inside his piano. However, in a strange turn of events, he became very skilled at the piano. Deciding to change his career, he decided to become a performer, educator and master to the art of musical notation.

Knowing full-well no one would want to go to a show with a known super-villian as a performer. He decided to change his name.

Today, Jordan Rudess has still not been able to hit batman...and here is his secret:
