Luke just joined via DM (and he surprisingly has never been in any roulettes of mine before), so we're at 12 now anyways. I'll wait a few more hours to see if there's any more newcomers who want in, otherwise this'll be the lineup (sorry Stadler, don't know if you forgot the green text in your message or not, but if you were being sincere maybe it's for the best  )

Well, you never know! Give my Tastes section a once-over, look through my RYM, see if you think it's worth the risk. With the ranking-based scores and items, it's a lot easier to recover from a single dud in this roulette if you do consistently well afterwards.

This is a good observation. In general I like my ratings out of 10 system, but when SOME PEOPLE get 8+ for EVERY SINGLE SUBMISSION then someone else getting one dud score can put them out of the running.

With that in mind, whenever I get to my next roulette I might make it stack ranking to inject a little more chaos.

To an extent, that's definitely true. But then so far nobody has won two of my roulettes, and the various winners have had different relative strengths and parts of my tastes that they've hit well.

That just makes the ones rated higher than that all the more special! My rating scale is weighed a bit lower than average, if you wanted to convert it to say, Ariich's scale, just add 0.5 stars to everything. Anything 3.5 stars or higher I'll almost always buy. There's lots of 3 star albums I really enjoy certain songs / aspects of, but for whatever reason the overall album experience is either too spotty or just kind of unimpactful. And then the 2.5 star albums are ones I listened to enough to rate but just never really connected with.

But yes, I do need more electronic albums rated higher than 3 stars. One of the reasons why I'm doing a roulette right now.
