One song I really love the drumming that I don't think has been mentioned yet is Only A Matter of Time, that song is filled with drumming awesomeness, especially the outro (5:03 onward).

I agree! Many songs on WDADU have great drumming.

Constant Motion - "Obssesive yearning" part.
The Spirit Carries On - the drum into... so simple, yet spot on! perfect fill for that part.
Finally Free - the end.
The Glass Prison - The fill to the last verse.
The Dance of Eternity - all of it...
The Count of Tuscany - "would you like to see our secret holy place" verse.

And sooooo many more...
Eternal life - I'd trade it for one moment beside you.

The Great Debate (has to be the most original 7/4 composition I have heard in a long time)

*cough* Forty Six & 2 *cough*

Ha ha!

The actual composition sounds like nothing else regardless of the obvious tool influence

I dunno, some of those fills are ripped straight out of it.

There are soooo many favorite drum parts because MP is God but just off the top of my head...

The sound of the snare on As I Am
Overture 1928 - all of it, especially on the LSFNY dvd
Dance of Eternity - all of it
Finally Free... HELL YES!
That crazy kick drum part in The Glass Prison (during "run fast from the wreckage of the past"...)
On the LSFNY dvd during Strange Deja Vu when he pounds on each side of his head after Jame's says "another whole life's waiting"
Stream of Consciousness, especially on the L@B DVD
Raise the Knife on Score - all of it, I just love every single tasty stroke of the drums on that song
The double bass explosion on ANTR

There are so many more because my ears go right to the drums (always) and MP is such an interesting and dynamic drummer to listen to. Sigh... :( Still hurting bigtime.

The whole body of ork and a major reason DT stand out from the prog metal crowd. Constantly inventive and evolving throughout the song.
