Okay, since I noticed the band name game thread I started has become pretty successful, I figured I'd try a different game. I will name a movie and then the next person who posts has to name another movie with some kind of connection to the previous movie mentioned, plus explain the connection. Then the person that follows that person will do the same and so on. Now with connections, I mean a human connection like an actor or director or stunt double. For example, if I said Casablanca then the next person who posts could say Key Largo and the connection is Humphrey Bogart. Then the next person would have to find a link to Key Largo.
I'll start with Lord of the Rings.
edit: Try not to mention the same movie on the same page. Otherwise we'll end up in a loop between two movies. I'm a network engineer and I hate loops. :lol

Seriously. Jackie is like the nicest person here.
-
Yeah, I wasn't trying to be rude... maybe a little sarcastic, but maybe focus more on following the rules yourself than pointing out things other people post that aren't even breaking them (i.e. "you forgot to say 'directed by'") ;)

YES!
-
Cool.
I wanted to use something a little more OBSCURE, instead of making it too easy with a movie featuring Tom Hanks or Gary Sinese, among others.
Instead they have to pull out something with Fred Ward or Michael Gross, etc.
By the way where does "listen, do you smell something" come from?
It cracks me UP every time I SEE that!

I don't remember her being in Coneheads.
-
Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Flea was in the last two movies
-
You're supposed to list a new movie with the person or thing that connects the new movie to the old movie. The old movie was Coneheads. You posted BTTF III with the connection being Mary Steenburgen, but she wasn't in Coneheads, so she can't be the connection.

That would be funny if it wasn't so obnoxious.
I was just trying to make it easier for the next participant.
But if I made it harder instead, excuse me all to hell!
Pick "Dead Things!"

Porky's 2 - written by Alan Ormsby
-
You don't have to be so f***ing RUDE!!!
So I started to read this thread from the beginning and I came to this. Why do you respond to anyone questioning you or correcting you like a person off their medications? Every time I read your responses it upsets a lot of people. Jackie is the most laid back person around and most of us old timers don't like when you respond like this.
You need to act like an adult. A 52 year old adult.
-
Maybe I over-reacted.
But what was bothering me was the fact that I gave a second option because I didn't know if "The Night Stalker" would count, because I didn't know if tv-movies were allowed as part of the game.
Therefore, I wanted to include a second option, just in case the first one wasn't allowed.
Also, I what I said wasn't directed at Jackie. I was reacting to the fact that once the crack about "Ikea/assembly" was posted, the point was MADE!
It was NOT necessary for Hef to REPEAT it!
-
If you stop overreacting you'll be just fine man. It's ok. Just respect other and they will respect you.
-
Right.
Point taken.
Thanks.
I'll try to do better.
Anyway...
Eric Cuthbert-Bugsy

It was NOT necessary for Hef to REPEAT it!
It shouldn't be necessary for me to repeat a lot of things.

Okay okay let's get back to the game!
Now who the hell is Eric Cuthbert?

Is the SAME movie AND the same actor allowed to be used more than ONCE?
Because I already USED that answer!!
I'm only asking so I'll know that if I'm stuck trying to come up with a NEW answer, I can just use one of the OLD ones instead!
-
Tremors 2: Aftershocks-Fred Ward

Sorry about that.
I forgot the THIRD part of his name : "Christmas."
Wikepedia is ALSO very useful for that kind of information.

No reason to get upset.

-
I'm not upset about it.
I was just trying to clarify weather it is allowed to use the exact same answer more than once,
or if that is a "violation" of this particular game's "rules."
Because like I said:
I might find myself wanting/needing to do the same thing at one time or another.
-
I'm not upset about it.
Not sure how much internetting you do, but your use of words in ALL CAPS combined with EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!! comes across as "yelling" on the internet. It makes you seem worked up, upset, or excited about things.
That's why I made that comment.
-
All this side nonsense with this guy... Where did we leave off so we can get back to the game?
