Title: New song! Dark/contemplative/sinister content!
Post by: ddtonfire on May 13, 2011, 02:31:09 PM
Hi all,
I haven't really been around for a while because of school, but lately I've been in a slightly forlorn humor, so I wrote this song as a release. It's kind of like the lovechild of Dream Theater's Space-Dye Vest and Dillinger Escape Plan's Dead as History. Let me know what you think about the composition/production/mixing/mastering!
It's called "Captive My Thoughts." Thanks for listening!

I like it. It's a good composition, and the mixing/mastering sounds quite professional, too. It could be a soundtrack for something like the Saw movies  ;)

This is awesome.  Great job with the dark atmosphere and the sinister distorted guitars too.  Also, the electronic beats were really cool.  All-around fantastic work on this song.

Awesome, totally awesome. Mind if I ask which vst you used for the electronic drums and the glitchy stuff?

Thank you! I used Reason 4 for the keys and percussion and Toontrack Metal Foundry for the drums.
