Coudln't find a thread for this very influential 'emo' band that have recently reformed.
Goin to see them 22nd April ;D
Anyone else on here like them?

emo ? really?
and are they any good?

great, great band, pick any album, it's all choice work.

Really good band. I only have one of their albums (the titles slipping atm), but they have a very nice sound.

They're awesome. They're not emo in the way people now think of the word. They're basically just an indie band who were part of the original emo movement, along with the likes of Mineral. They don't sound anything like MCR so don't worry :chill

I love SDRE. Have listened to them since 1997. Their best albums, in my opinion, are Diary and How It Feels To Be Something On. I saw them live in 98 at The Masquerade in ATL, and they did not disappoint. Are they recording (or have they recorded) a new album? Too bad the Seattle window was starting to close by the time they put out their first 2 records, or maybe they might be more well-known. Also, I just found this performance of their's on Jimmy Fallon back in September:

Great stuff !!!

Thread resurrection! Was jamming some SDRE and found this music video of their song "Seven" off their classic album Diary. If you were/are into the 90's Seattle scene at all, or even if you weren't and want to hear a slightly different take on things, check out Sunny Day Real Estate:

Good thanks, although it was delayed to May 31st because of the Icelandic volcano going off and stopping all the flights. They played a very short set sadly for a first UK headline gig but it was still really cool.

What was the setlist?
