If there are Lego shovels you should give one to JLB. :lol
Also, you should post this at MP.com if you haven't already. I'm sure Mike would like to see his Lego drum kit.

MP should do a replica of that drum kit - The Lego Monster.

Sociopath is the best noob ever. Awesome dude!

Lego + Dream Theater + lots of free time + the mind of a teenager = WIN
Fun Fact: The word 'LEGO', when used as a noun, should only refer to the company that makes the product. Otherwise 'LEGO' is supposed to be used as an adjective. Thus, when referring to the pieces, neither 'lego' nor 'legos' is correct... rather one should say: 'LEGO bricks' or 'LEGO pieces' or whatever (using LEGO as an adjective -- and one should really capitalize all of the letters, and put the little 'circle-R' symbol after it (®)). This is all a matter of protecting the trademark of 'LEGO' for the company (using it otherwise degenerates the strength of the trademark).
-
That fact wasn't very fun at all.
-
This.
Is.
Epic.

-
So cool!
I love the drum set, really detailed, which is often hard to do with legos.
-
The drum kit is epic. There must be a lot of work on this !!
two random cymbals i just felt like making but they look alright

Someone should send this to DT, seriously.

Yeah, I wish more people did that, hearing people say "legos" makes me cringe.

This. I hate it when people call legos "legos."

They're legos. Who cares?
-
They're legos. Who cares?
+1
There ain't really any legit need to get fussy about a toy made for the 4-6 year old crowd.
-
Fantastic!

They're legos. Who cares?
Sorry, man, but I care. The plural of Lego is Lego. It's a proper noun, so they make the rules.
The DT mini-figs are great, though. :tup
-
Wow, this is totally amazing, never thought this could be possible (and I really loved, er, Lego bricks and had some crazy ideas too :P). Excellent idea and realisation.
-
:hefdaddy :hefdaddy Well done!

This. Though I've never heard the expression "legos" before, must be a silly American thing. :P
-
Yeah I haven't heard Legos either ^^ but it sounds fun, I'll start use that word :D
and that drumkit and keyboardworld was pretty awesome!!! :D
-
Hmmmm...being that James Labrie's head is naturally square, lego seems a good fit for him.
-
Awesome! :metal
-
Definitely a silly American thing. We tend to fuck up pluralizations by just applying the most common rule, but then we also seem to have the most rules and exceptions of any language.
If you make something out of Lego bricks, the Fun Fact says you should always say "Lego bricks" or "Lego pieces". I always figured you could say you made it "out of Lego" because you're referring to Lego as the medium, the same way you could make something out of clay or out of wood. But you can't say you made it "out of Legos" because each piece is not "a Lego". You wouldn't say you had "a clay" and found "another clay" in a drawer and therefore had enough "clays" to make the model. You had some clay, and found some more clay. Same with Lego. It's made of Lego, not made of "Legos".
-
Don't care. It's always been "legos" in my house and among everyone I've ever known. Even if it's not technically correct (which I admit it isn't), it is a widely accepted usage.
-

Sorry, man, but I care. The plural of Lego is Lego. It's a proper noun, so they make the rules.
In my book, correctness is defined by usage. (i.e., if the majority of people use "legos", then "legos" is correct. =)

ScioPath, you have competition:

-
Uh oh. His Legos have custom bass drum heads and stuff.
-
:omg: well its a cooler stage, and the bass drums are a nice touch, but i think the cymbal tinfoil cutouts are a bit on the lazy side. keyboards are somewhat conservative as well. (being a keyboard player myself, i wouldn't dare shortchange lego jr). on the upside, great minifigures, cool drums. nice to see i'm not the only dt legoer (please don make an issue about the word legoer)
-
Nah. You'll noticed I even used "Legos".
-
I do like the Lego JP solo leg... put up on thingies...
-
The plural of Lego is Lego. It's a proper noun, so they make the rules.
This. Though I've never heard the expression "maths" before, must be a silly British thing. :P
Fixed :-*
-
Actually, "maths" as short for "mathematics" does make sense. They're both plurals.
