Wasn't Gibson in Ch. 11?
-
They were bought out and the 2 new owner have brought the company back big time.

RIP Mesa Boogie.

RIP Mesa Boogie.
"Acquired by" does not mean going away.

I was meaning the company will be ruined, like the Gibson brand has been.
-
The rep of Gibson with the new owners is on the rise. Seriously.

This is strange. I wonder if JP will stick with Mesa amps for the long haul? Perhaps so, but I could never see him playing a Les Paul.. Ever!

Nor could I. But it would be nice to see him playing a proper guitar :hat

Indeed :lol
I imagine I'll get around to acquiring a Majesty one day but they don't resonate with me as much as they do with millions of others.
Aside from that, Gibson is definitely on the up. New owners are doing well. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Mesa/Boogie.

The ergonomics of the Majesty appeals to me more than the looks, even though thay are pretty sleek looking. The big upper horn needs some refining though. :lol

My 1st thought was "Great, they'll run it into the ground like they did Cakewalk". However, I think Mesa Boogie may stand a chance with these new owners.
