Been in most of the day. Started down at my friend's brewery in central NJ (Conclave Brewing)

Where is this?

They're in Flemington a few miles off 78. Tasting room is open Friday nights and Saturday afternoons only.

In, while doing some studying for a professional exam:
Allagash Saison
Abita Strawberry

I like that Allagash saison. Nothing revolutionary, just a textbook well executed saison.

I was unimpressed with it Bill.

Drinking Stone Barleywine dry hopped with Pekko hops.

To me it falls into the same camp (though I'd say it's not quite as good as) La Fin du Monde. It's pretty much a textbook example of the style, just doesn't have anything unique or interesting going on.

Pekko hops, that's a new one. I can't keep up with all the new hop varieties coming out.

My saison experience is limited, I've only had the Allagash, and one other I can't remember.  As the Allagash doesn't taste like lemon Pledge, it is my preferred of the two.  My wife actually picked it up for braising scallops.

That's why I bought it. Never heard of that hops before.

Ahh west central NJ, cool.  I'd like to check out another brewery

Definitely worth checking out, the beers are all at least solid and a few are fantastic. It's annoying that all the best breweries in the state (Kane, Carton, Conclave) are all down in central NJ.

In between sessions of being in. Had a Hill Farmstead Dorothy (saison) early in the afternoon, and then my uncle and I split a bottle of Chianti during our early Italian-style Sunday dinner, and then a Hill Farmstead Twilight of the Idols (porter brewed with cinnamon, coffee, and vanilla beans) with dessert. Taking it easy on the couch for now, and then some friends should be coming by for beers and the WWE PPV tonight.

I had a Briney Melon Gose a few days ago and loved it. Tasted like a sour patch watermelon. I was pleasantly surprised.

In while I make dinner. Keeping with the melon taste, I'm trying a New Belgium Heavy Melon. Looked intriguing.

Rochefort 10 Belgian Beer (one of my favs) and just bought a bottle of Macallan Amber yesterday. Looking forward to trying that one. Once had a Macallan 18yo, but never been a fan of large whiskey companies stopping with the year badge on whiskey's because the they sell too much. Stuff like Balblair who always sold whiskey 'when they were ready' is awesome, but a company that never did that, only to start with it when the entire Asian continent started drinking whiskey and their warehouses emptied... Not so sure.
The bottle had a nice discount though, so I'm looking forward to it anyway.
