I only have Daylight Dies' first two records (No Reply and this one)...Dismantling Devotion is a big step up from the debut, although I always feel they miss some better melodic hooks to get to the next level. It all sounds great, though, with appropriately morose atmosphere a-la early Katatonia.
I have a soft spot for Madder Mortem. They are a bit weird, but not too weird..."unique" is perhaps a better way to describe them. Modern, dark, gothic, "emotional", heavy...all at the same time. Anyway, this is their latest, hope they release something new soon.
Layer of Lies might be my second favorite Darkane after their debut. It's a super-tasty album. The title-track almost has that Testament mid-tempo quality to it. Also some cool choruses very influenced by Devin Townsend (Organic Canvas!). My favorite on this is probably Contaminated. A true beast of a song, thrashy and groovy.
