The first real Windows PC my father bought (in '91) had a 103MB hard drive, and I distinctly remember saying to him "what the hell do you need 103 megs for?".   :lol
:lol I don't remember how big the hard drive was on my old Packard Bell, but I think it was less than 100 megs. It was around the same time, '91 or '92.

For comparison sake, I personally know people that are running servers with 100s of Terabytes of HDD space these days. I mean, my Plex server has 32TB of HDD space.

I bought one in '93.  HP if I recall correctly.  It had a 256MB hard drive and a 3 1/2" floppy drive.  I bought a 5 1/4" floppy drive and "installed" it either on top of or below the other floppy drive ("installed" meaning I hooked up the cables but never screwed it into the case, so it was just floating loose).  Together with the monitor and a dot matrix printer, it cost about $1,800 (about $3,384 in 2022 dollars).

That hits a bit too close to home....   :lol

Oh god... the "Classic Rock" one.:lol  I only listen to the radio when I'm in the car, and the Classic Rock Radio station of my youth rarely plays "real" classic rock nowadays.  I'd say I recognize about 10% of the tunes they play.  Granted, their format isn't exactly "classic rock" anymore (they bill themselves as "Toronto's Rock Station"), but still.

How old does something need to be to be considered classic? I'd say 30 years is sufficient.

And when did "classic rock" become a thing? Was there classic rock radio stations in the 70s and did they play stuff from the 50s?

I see Classic Rock as an era (60's to 80's) rather than a criteria you have to meet. But I guess if we look at it as how old something is them it makes sense to include 90's stuff in there.

In musical instruments, something is considered Vintage if it is at least 25 years old, so maybe the same applies to classic rock  ???

And when did "classic rock" become a thing? Was there classic rock radio stations in the 70s and did they play stuff from the 50s?

Those stations for the 50's music were called "Oldies."  I'd say mid to late 80's you heard the term "Classic Rock" for the late 60's and 70's rock.
