The first real Windows PC my father bought (in '91) had a 103MB hard drive, and I distinctly remember saying to him "what the hell do you need 103 megs for?".
I bought one in '93. HP if I recall correctly. It had a 256MB hard drive and a 3 1/2" floppy drive. I bought a 5 1/4" floppy drive and "installed" it either on top of or below the other floppy drive ("installed" meaning I hooked up the cables but never screwed it into the case, so it was just floating loose). Together with the monitor and a dot matrix printer, it cost about $1,800 (about $3,384 in 2022 dollars).
That hits a bit too close to home....
