Skipped over your post PLM because I don't want to see the setlist. I'm going to the Montreal show on Monday, how long do each of the bands play for?

Holy shit... SEE THEM. GOOD CHRIST RUSSELL ALLEN NEVER MISSES A NOTE HOW DOES HE DO IT I'M JEALOUS

And Powerglove is one of the most entertaining opening acts I've ever seen. I could see them open for every band I see lol

Blackguard can suck some cock. Seriously. They're such generic screaming metal I wanted to cut my ears off

The Divine Wings of Tradgedy or V: The New Mythology Suite

Can't go wrong with either of them.

The self-titled debut.

I thought that was considered one of their worst due to a different singer and poor production (much like DT's debut)?

:lol He's just taking the piss mate, it is easily SX worst album, get it last.  Get Paradise Lost, Divine Wings and The Odyssey.

I'm impressed how much PL has grown on me since its release.  When I first bought it, I was average and left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, especially since I love the Odyssey so much.  Now, I would probably consider it my fav SX album to be honest.  When I'm in the mood for some SX, I always pick PL, and love every second of it.

I second this. And yeah, PLM, you didn't respond, how long are the bands' sets?

The openers didn't play for more than 30 minutes each. This was really nice. Last time I saw them SX had to cut their set short because there were 3 openers and they took to long playing/setting up. It was much more efficient this time. Powerglove was the best opener. They're fucking amazing, and great entertainers :lol

EDIT: why the hell was the one guitarist of powerglove playing with his guitar strung upside down? it was weird as helllll

New song: with the exception of the section that starts at the third minute the song felt too familiar. Nothing special, quite underwhelming on all fronts actually.

It was definitely nothing new, but it was still a solid song and I think I prefer it over most of the stuff on PL.

I hope this is the case, I haven't listened to the other songs, maybe just once but I don't remember anything about them. Will wait for a better recorded, studio version to be released first.
