General Discussion / Re: NHL 2023-2024: Playoff Time. Hello Darkness.....

So...I think Boston wins tonight but won't be able to take game 7.

I think Dallas closes out Colorado tonight.

And I think the home team will will the remaining games in the Vancouver/Edmonton series, although that one is hard to call with the goaltending uncertainty.  Who starts for the Oilers?  I heard that Demko is close to being ready, but I have to assume that Vancouver will stick with Silovs unless he craps the bed in game 6.

I assume the NHL is salivating over the possibility of either the Rangers or Bruins against the Canucks.

I mean, good music appeals to me.  Some of my favorite albums are from projects rather than regular bands.

But whatever.

One of my favorite records is that JP/JR duo live album they did (I believe it was before JR was in DT as well). JP is mostly on an acoustic guitar.

So yeah, agreed. Project/Band doesn't matter to me as much as "good" does

Yeah, the place he is playing in Kirkwood, MO next month is about 10-12 minutes from where I live, so I will be there for that.

I think me and the boys are going to head there as well  :tup

That would be cool. Didn't Angra drummer Bruno Valverde play shows with Witherfall?

You tell me

You're only now realizing this?  It's been pretty obvious since Mangini got the gig.  And it wouldn't have mattered if a different drummer won the "audition".  It would have been the same case.

Honestly, no I didn't. I wasn't interacting with the fan base much at the time so I missed most of the Facebook and forum commentaries. I know he has an enormous following but probably underestimated it because he's the drummer! Usually it's the singer or guitarist who can command that amount of loyalty.

And agreed, none of the other drummers would have survived the inevitable sway of the tide because at the end of the day I don't think this has anything to do with job performance. Realistically there was nothing anyone could have done to fend off MP's return.

Would be cool if that Angra/Witherfall tour came to the US.
