Crone - Gotta Light?

Same singer as the band Secrets of the Moon. I've been enjoying this album...I guess one could call it "dark rock"? After the slow-building intro song "No One is Ever Alive", things get going with "Abyss Road". This and "They" kinda sound like recent Tribulation songs, if they had clean vocals - great stuff. The singer is not technically fantastic, but the vocals work pretty well here, except some of the slower parts (e.g. in This is War or Waiting for Ghosts) where they are maybe a little shaky. I feel like the album has some neat "classic rock" sensibilities too, especially in the lead-guitar work (Gemini, the end of This is War, the second half of Waiting for Ghosts).

Anyway, definitely a good listen for me!

Sweet Dream got recommended to me after listening to Samson by Regina Spektor on Spotify and I enjoyed the song to listen to the album it's on. It's good stuff.

The Stormkeep album is definitely a love letter to that 90s melodic black metal scene, but it's very enjoyable. Elements was my first Atheist, back in the day, and I'm fond of it. Maybe not on par with their earlier two, but tasty nonetheless.
